Swany (coming back from an injury) and Peters are the only 2 who should be on blue bikes in the top 40? Am I forgetting someone? Sipes, Izzi, Stroupe should be on 450's...

Does anyone know if Weston Peick still going to be riding for Valli outdoors or is he back on his own? They have Izzi and Sipes on 450 and no one seems to know if Stroupe is still on that team.

I feel really dumb for leaving out Cunningham... sorry. Stroupe twitted a month ago that he was getting ready for Hangtown... I kinda wish he'd drop back on a 250F instead of crashing out on the 450. He'd be Yamaha's best shot at a podium in that class...

They're finally starting to catch on it seems with the signing of Webb and Martin from the ams, which im sure is a much more financially viable way to get that type of talent then waiting for them to show promise as pros and buying them as proven contenders.

Only time will tell i guess.

No doubt. Im not saying there's anything wrong with the Yami. Just that the bike has been the same for so long it basically sells itself. If you're interested in buying a yamaha you know exactly what you're getting, a reasonably bulletproof time tested machine.

Race results at this stage arent gonna sell the bike any better imo. Perhaps its not worth the investment it would cost to get the type of riders to win this year.

Sipes is gonna be on stroupe's bike at hangtown... so not sure what stroupe is doing...

i just feel like with all the in house stuff they are capable of, they could be like PC of yamahas. easier to compete against rookies and satellite teams than season vets and factory supported teams. also could get their lites riders well adapted to the bikes and then moving up to the 450 might provide a better chance at that title. idk. obviously they are smarter than me, or i would have my own team. just a thought i had.

They're are definitely capable, i guess the big question is whether or not they are interested.

I'm sure they've got machines and equipment kicking around in there car premises that makes PC look like a backyard operation. The thing is, MX is not their number one priority, and the amount of revenue it would generate them is probly a drop in the ocean to what they are used to dealing with. Pro Circuit's sole focus is MX and MX applications, that might be the big difference.

I'm with ya though, i was dissapointed when Webb signed with Star Valli, i was hoping he'd be the JGR prodigy and flow into a team in the future, it still might happen though.

Webb tested both bikes - the star bike was leaps better...and it should be....they have YEARS of hardcore top level development and have been the factory yamaha lites effort for a while now.

Despite JGR's immense resources - the mx shop is still "seperate" of the nascar side - and the talent doing the mx development is again, separate.

In order to compete with the star bike - JGR would need a few years of racing and development time...IMHO.

But - it's a shame not more are riding the bike - I think it's (despite being "old") at the factory level a great race bike...

Last year they got great starts, and it's by far the lightest bike out of the box already...

JGR already does suspension and engine work like PC. I don't think hard parts would be much of a jump.

Weston's father told me at Vegas they do not have a deal yet. Louie said if they don't get something together they will have to miss Hangtown.

Maybe Yamaha hasn't released a newly designed 250F because they were going to use the same design as the 450 & the 450 hasn't lived up to the hype of its ground breaking new design.
If they released a 250F with the same engine design as the 450, it would be a marketing nightmare
