lol...I agree, I would like to see them test that bike like 4-5 times doing 30 + 2 motos and see how many times it runs out if it was filled before each moto.

Im a bit of a conspiracy theorist and to be honest I think Dungey's two mechanicals may have not been "accidental"... Suzuki knew he was leaving, so why pay him bonus money if you dont have to... I know small chance, but like anything you never know.

seriously?

you think Suzuki purposely sabotaged his machine, risking major injury to their rider, to save on bonus money?

Dirty, dirty, dirty....man that is a stretch! Woooo! The kind of thing you might think, but not say-but here we are on Vital, so its all good! Now, finding actual proof would be another matter...

Dirty Bagger, that is a hell of a conspiracy theory! From What I understand, all the factory bonus contracts are insured anyway. What that means is the teams don't pay the bonuses. They pay a flat fee up front and the insurance company pays the bonus. That fact puts a serious dent in your theory....

Well in case you forgot they were racing in a hurricane. It was an electrical problem. Guess what water does to electronics? Sure its weird we heard nobody else have that kind of problem but Short missed a moto at Texas one year in the dry, because of the same problem. His biked was washed before the first moto. I'd point to that being the culprit also.

The story I heard had nothing to do with Goose overlooking anything. It was more about Team Suzuki changing fuels mid stream and a lack of funds to do full moto race testing.

Regardless if you buy this story or not 2011 didn't see anywhere near the amount of testing as previous years for Suzuki in the US.

Maybe I was the only one who heard that Suzuki used the same fuel tank and the same fuel as the year before. That's why Goose was surprised that it ran out of gas. The Dunge musy have just ran the thing WFO a little more than usual.

Or the bike was making more power than the year before.

I learned long ago not to believe everything you hear about in this sport. Many here could take that to heart. I still would bet the fuel boiled. which while I don't know why but when my big ol 440 in my RV starts vapor locking the fuel mileage goes down drastically.
Gotta be a physics thing.
