Barcia was definitely a top 5 if not top 3 contender in the 450s last year, and with the decimated field this year he would be a championship contender

Just because he didn't contend much in the 250 class doesn't mean much, he was an animal on the 450. Some bikes just suit some riders better than others. For Barcia, Supercross is what he's good at. Outdoors, it seems the 450 suits him better than the 250
edit:his still on a 250. havent heard much about him this season
barcia has one overall in 3 seasons now. and has never contended for a title outdoors. there aren't even any what if situations where he could have been on top.
*edit* flickitflat beat me to it
Tomac has seemed to somewhat fix his biggest problem, starts.
Truthfully, though, I think it will be between the orange, red and green bikes of Roczen, Tomac, Ratters, DeanO (if he can start healthy based on his shoulder) and the Chupahoweverthehellyouspellit. It's going to be an issue of who has the least amount of bad starts.
I just like Roczen's youthful exuberance, extremely buttery smooth, hot dang fast riding style combined with 2 GP titles. Kid has got the tools to win. He will surely be tested with having to learn new tracks and deal with some brutal heat. Not to mention a STACKED class.
Bam Bam has the pedigree and rightfully should win the outdoors, I just can't trust his consistency based on the past couple years.
I don't think Musquin is aggressive enough to get it done, in the US, outdoors. I def want to see him prove me wrong, though.
I would love to see DD kick ass, but his fitness seemed off a bit, last year.
Pit Row
*edit* I just looked and he got a 4th in Moto 2 at Southwick and a 2th in Moto 2 at Pala. He could be up there with the main group, especially with a whole year of SX under his belt
