Your son did a great job. I gave him a 10. Hopefully the Vital bump will help him overcome obvious disadvantage of going against a young lady.

I don't think he's at any disadvantage against that young lady. Her delivery was wooden. And she misattributed her quote. Lincoln did use it in a speech but he was himself quoting Jesus in Matthew 12:25.

He was definitely better. She was much less expressive and just reading her part. i just think people are less critical of girls in these types of situations. Maybe i am wrong. He was way better though.

Thanks, G. And, Gabe-you could be right about the voting, there was one young man in the first round who did very well, but he lost out to a girl that wasn't (in my opinion) as well spoken or with well-reasoned points.
