Our prayers go go to him for a speedy recovery. Hopefully he will now to wear a chest protector of some kind. Laying there getting run over I know I would want as much on as possible.

That was really scary looking. I'm glad he wasn't seriously injured in that. He's lucky to be alive.

Any word on his conditions? Will he be back on his bike towards the end of the season? GET WELL SOON MIKEY!!!

n?
Wow dude, he didn't know if there was anything he could do, but at least he tried. Not sure what some of yalls problems are in this thread, this could happen to anyone that races. Don't see how folks can joke or say anything mean. I hate the title of this thread, some of you need punches in the face, ain't jokin.

Ricky - you did the right thing - that was a classy move. What could you do? More by being there than by not being there.

BTW, I saw you case the Leap in practice and it looked awfully painful - was that what slowed you down for the day? You taco your wheels on that one?

You suck, Ricky!
You should've jumped off your bike and on top of Mike to cover him!

That will end up being one of the hardest earned points of the season - hope you feel better for Budd's.

I remember seeing pretty much the exact same thing happen to Hamblin (pretty sure it was him) a couple years ago. A punishing obstacle indeed.

kjs, "but what did he actually do?" you ask? Renner75 stopped, turned around and checked on a fellow rider - it's in the video. I have a strong feeling that if there was anything else that he needed to do and could have done he would've done it. Not to get all preachy, but in this world we NEED people like Renner75 - you never know when you'll need the help of a complete stranger.

At first I thought it was Ferry, but I figured I certainly would have heard about if it was. I actually got chills seeing a rider come back in the frame - it told me that it was really serious. I can't imagine how many riders that Renner has seen go down on the track over the years and I bet he doesn't stop everytime, but I gather that he sensed something different on this one and reacted.

Now, the question is "What did you actually do besides cheapen the efforts of someone who did something?

Makes me sick to watch that just like it makes me sick to read people bashing on riders who don't live up to their expectations.

These guys risk life and limb and except for a few do it for peanuts. MX is a niche sport because only those who have done it can appreciate what is takes to line up on the gate.

Get well soon MA and Kudos to Renner for checking on a fellow rider.

You did the right thing.

Where was the flagger? A blind downhill with no where to go that had to be pretty scary. It really didn't seem like anyone had backed off from the video. It looks like you were forced over him too.

On the RX post show there is a different angle that more shows how it happened, looks like he cross rutted off the face and that tossed him.

Watching him lay there getting landed on was enough to make me sick to my stomach, such a helpless feeling.

Heres to a full and speedy recovery.

Easily the scariest thing I've ever seen in MX.

Does anyone have an address we can send some get well cards? Bobby, or Slo? I don't want it to seem like he's more important than other riders injured, but the kid has really turned a corner the last couple seasons and he should know that people see that and are happy to see him growing up after his first few years of questionable decisions.

God that was awful.. Get well soon Mikey.

That was nasty. Words do not begin to describe that incident.

Good on you Renner.

For you other fucks that are bashing, let's just hope that you don't get into a situation like this. Your ego's won't be able to handle the fact that a slow flag followed by no riders showing up will be hard to swallow.
