I just left a message with the Alessi camp to get the exact condition of Mike.

I will post as soon as I hear back.

That really is incredible that he was able to pretty much walk away with somewhat minor injuries considering how bad the crash was and all of the times he was landed on by other riders.

Thankfully he will be OK and come back soon, that could have been much worse. He is one tough kid.

We're still waiting to hear what the injuries are. He didn't exactly walk away from that...he was loaded onto the stretcher at the scene.
After seeing that crash, the broken scapula(s) are pretty much as good as walking away. I just meant it could have been (and looked) much worse than the final outcome.

Him lying motionless for what must have seemed like a very long time had to very scary for anyone present (I cannot even imagine what his family was going through).

Who knows, Jeff Alessi may have even gave him a tap too.

I've broken a Scapula...nine weeks baby !

It's kind of like the pain of broken ribs, but multiplied by 10...Almost impossible to get comfortable enough to sleep.

It depends on how bad they are broken, i came back from my broken scapula in four weeks.

I can't imagine how he rode like that. His mechanic surely had to have taken his arm and placed it on the grips for him.

THAT is why I don't HOPE that ANY rider goes down in the first turn or anywhere else. I also don't then defend it and say "He didnt say he wished James to get hurt....you guys need to stop acting like he wished death on him". Mike Alessi could have died today. How often do you see riders turn around during a national race and check on a competitor? Way to go Renner75.

Now seeing James come from way behind - I'll get on board for that. Maybe he gets stuck in the gate and stalls the engine.

Get well Mikey!

Yep, that was Ricky Renner. He was riding at less than 100 percent after a crash in practice, but he kept his usual good humor and still wanted to ride.

It was also good to see him check on Mike.

Hard to believe MA got tagged by all those spinning 450 rear tires and didn't suffer much worse injuries. I fractured my scapula once many moons ago and it was no fun at all. If he has multiple fractures there is a lot of pain in his future.
Hopefully Mikey can improve enough to get back in it. Bummer deal.

Nice job going back to check on Mike.
Takes a special person to forget their own selfishness to care for another.

That was pretty bad. He could have been killed. I`ve seen other riders that crashed like that with riders landing on them and getting hurt bad. That happened to me after a big jump and I remember bikes landing inches from my face.

Wow! I hope he's OK.
He took a hell of a hit on the face of that jump before ever getting run over.

I can't believe he even survived that pummeling.
