Perhaps he was so put-off and imasculated feeling that he just had to counteract the original Magenta color scheme with the core flat-black look.(It actually doesnt look too bad considering)

I wonder if it comes with free Metal Mulisha stickers

I think the OP is referring to the bike being all black. Also this person has a Manuel, not a manual apparently. And lastly what is that a 92 ? $1650 really? Try $650

He just wants to get what he has in it? 80% new parts. The black is secondary.

DONT LAUGHT BRO.

Nothing wrong with a guy restoring an old 88' YZ, his way, and within his budget. I like to see guys taking pride in the old bikes and selling them for unreasonable prices because it shows THEY APPRECIATE THE BIKE. Also, if you know anything about vintage bike restoration the plastics are hard to find and when you do find some after market ones they donot fit correctly and need holes put in them for mounting. So he used rattle can paint. I seen some vintage guys paint plastic too just a more quality job then rattle can.

What pisses me off are you guys with MONEY laughing at him. So he doesnt have money to buy a 1000.00 dollar exhaust...or a 8,000.00 dollar Dungey replica so HE MAKES DO WITH WHAT HE HAS. I'm so pissed that kids can not enjoy dirt bikes the way I did growing up. Too many damn restrictions on stickers...spark arrestors...track fees...no places to ride...and if they did show up at the track everyone in their motor homes would heckle them.

We need a RAT bike movement at CA tracks to undo all this GLAMOUROUS equipment at the tracks today...so many are over the big rigs with a KTM 50 and five Mules coming out of a 100' trailer pulled by a semi truck. It's freaking stuid. Should be outlawed at the track. when I think about it the bikes still have a throttle..two wheels and a clutch...

We need to remember where we came from as motocrossers. I had a hand me down MX 80 that I loved..was beat to crap...ugly as hell...but thats what I had and I appreciated it...but that little bike gave me inspiration to moto

I don't see anything wrong with this ad. Just by looking at the pictures, it's clear that the guy put a lot of effort in restoring this bike. Black plastics are not the flavor of the week right now (I don't really like them myself), but I have to admit this bike looks pretty good for its age.

For someone with limited budget and knowledge, this could be a great chance to get into the sport at a reasonable price. Sure, he could find a bike the same age for $1000, but by the time he gets it back in shape, probably having some stuff done by a dealer because of his limited knowledge, that deal would be hard to beat.

Best rant I have read here in a while.

Motocross is dead as a lot of us got to know it unless more people read this and really give it some serious consideration.
