I'm really off my rocker today.

Say you've got an 09 Honder 450 and a 2001 CR250R motor you're building up.

How much does ole Service Honda charge to put that motor in the 450 frame? Do they even do such a thing, or do they only make full on bikes? Do they sell the extra pieces once the motor is in said frame?

Thinking out loud here, probably should have sent my question to them in the first place. Oh well.

Service Honda only builds new bikes. They don't do conversions. Last I checked, AJ would do CR250 conversions at home for you but that's not what you described. They might sell you a frame and you sell yours to make up the difference but I think the conversion is about $2000. Don't quote me on that number. I've been thinking of trying to figure out what it would take to graft a new style sub-frame on my 2009 model.

It can be done although I have typically seen the 250f chassis used.

I been seriously thinking about one of their 250s... its not much more expensive than a new yz!!!
