Fred Lewis Construction Racing Team

If you raced Nor Cal motocross in the mid-seventies-early eighties you probably either knew, hated or loved Fred Lewis. Some of us all of the above. Fred still lives in Sacramento and has been battling cancer for two years. Still a fighter but he is very sick. I happened accross this forum and have seen a lot of familar names. Just thought I'd post this in case anyone wants to pass a word on to Fred and his family.

I was told by an old friend that this post may reach more people that know Fred if I posted a list of riders that raced for the team. I'll list a few of the really fast guys and gals I remember first. If you know any of these folks please pass the word along.

I WAS THINKING ABOUT FRED THE OTHER DAY.....I WORKED FOR FRED BACK IN.....WELL, A LONG, LONG TIME AGO. DOES HE STILL LIVE OFF WATT NEAR MARCONI? HE SUPPORTED THE LOCALS...RACES AND RACERS...GOD BLESS FRED...

Thanks Nuklear. Fred and I were talking recently about his old framing days. It really brightened his day. He had quite a crew as I remember. Fred and Nancy now live off PFE Road near Walerga.

Hey Marty !! This Jimmy Robertson. Thanks for letting people know that is very sad, i lost my dad to cancer a few years ago .

Thanks Jimmy. It really made Fred's day to year from you. Very cool of you. Thanks for updating the list as well. Great memory you have. Rudy Schnieder was from Woodland. A lot of good people on this list.
Oh, and the foot peg was actually a front axle!
