I need help making a list of as many past District 36(Nor Ca) #1 Blue Plate holders as I can come up with. Also any contact info would be great.

D36 want to honor these guys.

Thanks for the help.

Andymoto don't know too many; hehehe.......Charlie Marshall, Neil McDannald, Bobby, think Lesniewski(He maybe more than once or maybe McDannald;maybe neither) were a few; those BOSS CMC races split some like Cantaloupi was CMC #1 for '78 season up here.

Few names that just hit me that "might" have...
.
Tom Rapp
Dave Longcor
Carl Cranke
Kevin Henry
Eddie Brown
Wosick
Brian Jodry
Tyson Vohland(before CMC took over most NorCal MX)?
Berluti
Coupe
Turner

Just throwing some out in the wind.....

Kamikaze, Bobby and Nuclear probably remember way more than me. FTE and George McNamara too.

I would have to agree with most of Andy's list
and add one more - Dean Wiggins

Surprised I can't remember more Blue Plate number 1 racers.

More of a surprise that District 36 or the AMA doesn't have this information on file somewhere, oh well.

Mike Hersmans ran CMC #1 in '77; poss '75/'76 also.
Thought Dave Wood would've been a Blue Plate #1, but prob had blue plate. Think he had #1 in Enduro, Cross Country, HS..one of those later on.
Pat Wilson think had Blue Plate, Danny Olsen, Dana Waxham, Roy Seiler, Arnold Plant possibly..

Cool Scottie! That's one keeper wish I had.

NorCal site had a thread started by Emmitt Ramirez with Tims sister in law Tawnya involved.

80cc Blue Plates in 1981. Tim Aston # 1. Tyson Volhand #2. Eric Liddell #3.
Didn't George Holland have the # 1 plate on 125cc I remember him and Magoo going at it in 81

1978 was the year i won it, jodry won it the year before maybe....lesnewski a year before that possibly. the d36 boys aka kenny voght (spelling?) and crew were none too happy when i won it in 78. they didn't take too kindly to an east bay/antioch boy whupping up on their favorite sons up yonder in the sacto/north sacto area. Smile i was a just lowlife from the antioch area which meant sandill ranch, dixon and southbay tracks that were primarily cmc sanctioned. Wink

i always raced where the comp/money was and that didn't always include ama d36 races. maico west told me if i won the d36 #1 bp that they would sponsor me on the nats for 79 so me and my dad decided to concentrate on that title, which was bigger and more legitimate than most any other #1 at the time..mainly the cmc #1 plate. in socal it was the opposite it seemed. so i picked up a 250 and rode both class's which was pretty much the only way you could capture the bp #1 plate back then since you kind of doubled your chance of winning the title.

i won it..picked up my candy plate in vacaville and signed on with maico west soon after.

2 out 3 free bikes(fronted for free then settled after 4 months), a bunch a free parts and a fucked up leg later and that was all she wrote!Smile

Right around 82-84 everything pretty much went CMC. I do know that in 83 when Coupe was #1, Steve Valahos(Steve Jump) was #2...

Becker was always No.2. Eddie Brown, Randy Losh and Jim Lesniewski were the only ones I remember off the top of my head. I got no.8 in 78. In my binders I got the list for that year. I just remember at the awards banquet they had to settle a complaint about the Faria Bros. pulling a knife on other racers at Cycleland. Hey to all of ya's. Look me up. We ain't getting any younger ya know. its Eugene McKenzie II on facebook
