No shit! and to a freakin skier? Dizzy

With almost 9k total votes and being down 47% to 53% it is going to take some work to get him on top.

What do you mean we have to vote for this? I thought him being the best action sports athlete was a fact...

Exactly spot on 311...that is why i was pushing so hard for this ridiculous "vote" deal, sure wish i would of known about it earlier so we could of gotten more of "us" behind this. I mean he got beaten out by some skier dude i had never heard of, and i feel i stay pretty up to date on the whole "action sports" scene, and comparing him to this guy who is IMO a "one trick pony".

Jeezz just look at how many different "action sports" Travis has participated (and excelled) in. its a shame we didnt pull through for the guy after how much of himself he gave to us. At least he will always be #1 in our record books and we dont need a lame ESPN vote to prove that Cool

After a close vote that went back and forth over five days, Tom Wallisch defeated Travis Pastrana in the final of ESPN.com's Action Sports Star bracket to crown the top action sports athlete in the world.

Voting closed at the end of Monday, and here are the final results:

Tom Wallisch -- 5,680 votes; Travis Pastrana -- 4,534 votes.

At least he did win ESPN SportsNations "Most Awesomest Dude of The Year" award earlier this year, he beat out a shitload of huge sports stars like even TimTebow!

That Wallisch guy is a pretty big deal in Skiing and he's my favorite whenever Winter X comes around... Travis Pastrana on the other hand, is my favorite when Summer X is here. He enters not only one, not two, not three, not four, but five events and he's the favorite to win all of them. He's had success in every field that caught his attention and will most likely carry on that success in his NASCAR endeavors. Even though we didn't do him justice with getting him another accolade, it's pretty amazing how relevant he stays for not competing in anything this year.
