I think its great that he is atleast still riding. Maybe the guy just want to go to some local races to have fun and doesnt want to deal with all of the drama involved with a national event.

He didn't even win his first moto. So I think just showing up for a Natty is out of the question, if he can't be competitive

I'm ok with him going for fun in 25+ VET class, but to race the Pro class doesn't seem right to me.
