Keep up the good work. Your stuff isn't for everyone...then again neither is Motocross Action. The sport that has no problem paying a guy $1000 to make the podium in the 250 class needs to lighten up a bit.

BRO's blog was gold and he gave entertainment mixed with good facts.

Don't take the bitch way out, Eazy. Own up and move on with the same thing you've been doing this whole time.

If anything, this got him some huge hit numbers to the site, for what it's worth anyway
I'd have to agree, tons of exposure with the exception that "he shouldn't have outted TA"... Regardless. Alessi was straight up with the guy. He got caught with his pants around his ankles though from the sound of the conversation. As they say, "Shit happens."

well 500guy, he said a lot of things a lot of the people in the industry wish they could have but never would because of advertisers/sponsors/friendships/man friends/ etc etc etc.....

look, it is just a bummer it had to potentially end because of a phone call from someone who always seems to be in the middle of crap.

anyways, I am not going to continue to argue or get anyone to see the way I think things, but I hope the guy doesn't tone it down or go anywhere. it was entertaining and I am willing to bet if you secretly ask most of the journalists in this sport they all secretly tell you there were a fan of his.
If it ends, it isn't because of the phone call, but, rather because of the way it was handled. What happened to personal responsibility?

* I don't think blogging and talking shit are illegal. I would think Brotocross is safe.

* Whenever Regis tells us regular folk how it is in the industry, I can hear Kyle Regal's dad's voice in my head saying "I KNOW EVERYTHING". (just kidding Mr. Harrington)

* The worst thing about this "scandal" is that Eazy's street cred may have been damaged now that we all know he's just a 150lb kid that went to an expensive private business school in the ivy league region of the country. Luckily he appears to have some bike skills and if his sources don't dry up, he'll continue to be "successful" with Brotocross.com

Just my $0.02.

Your two posts on this site are to point out that this kid's parents are successful, and that he had a shitty day at the track 3 1/2 years ago? Look out Geraldo, there's a new sheriff in town.

Eli recording the call and posting it without consent was stupid. He's apparently fixed that part, so move on. Read his stuff if you enjoy it, if you don't then don't read it. Life's too short to get bent up over things that don't matter.

It was pretty clear from day 1 that he had proper education. His background doesn't surprise me at all.

Same here. It would've been even cooler to find out it was a chic the whole time. It's the content that's funny, I don't care who is doing the writing.

I think our sport is too small for this. I hope he owns the character but I believe the sport would be scared to be associated with him. The pits are an awfully small place where you see the same people 28 weekends a year. The same companies sponsor web pages / series' / advertisements in SX, a true journalist has to be so political in our sport.

Trust me, I think anonymous would be way better for a guy like this. Look at PING, he was f'ing hilarious but got a lot of heat for things he said and had to back it down. It's just the way it is in our sport. Too small.

I hope BRO pushes on.... He isn't associated with any mag, or advertisers so he has a chance. He just needs to keep it real and still get access. He biggest allies can be the guys on the inside who wish they were in position to say what he can say.
Youve been spot on with all your comments Regis.

I agree. His blogs are clever, well written, and never fail to entertain. Eazy is just a character, and a funny one at that.

I hope he keeps it up, I go there solely for a laugh. Brotocross is a different take on the sport that I find entertaining. Hopefully he continues!

I had a bookmark saved for brotocross for awhile then noticed his obsession with how people dress and quad riders. Seemed more like a spoiled high school girl than a motocrosser so I quit reading it.

Honestly... this looks like pure marketing genius to me. We're all talking about Alessi and Brotocross now. Think about it. You've been duped. This did nothing but drive up the intrest stock in both parties. It's a conspiracy I tell you, a conspiracy!!

Nice post

This little scuffle is just another prime example of how bush league this sport still is.

Pure logic right there. Its satirical, people shouldm't take some independent blogger so seriously. Our sport is about equal to monster trucks and side shows, especially with the way FELD promotes it. No reason to take ourselves or this sport so serious. There has yet to be any material coming from BRO that I disagree with. Keep on keepin on, and way to punk TA!

i sent that dude some free product, but then never heard back from him. he tried to get me to advertise on his site, so maybe that's why?

for anyone that knows about TheDirty.com and Nik Richie, I've known the guys behind that site for a while now and when Nik got ousted, he was able to spin it and it ended up being the best thing to happen to him and his "brand". They were very strategic and were able to capitalize on it. Now of course he's way more main stream than the tight moto industry, but i think Eli will be able to rebound from this just fine.
