Brenden from lime 9 made these for me, they are on my 2007 KX 250 smoker beater bike. I have $ 3000 into it now, which includes fresh race tech suspension, tires, chain and sprockets.

Guess I can't count. It appears as if there may be more than six pre-mix afficianados. Could be mistaken though.....Wink

Very cool.

and here I thought everyone with a 2 stroke loved their power valve?

Are you saying you're that hardcore, you wouldn't ride a 2-smoker without a powervalve?

Wow...

I bought an '06 KX250 a month ago from a friend of mine who takes care of her bikes like they are her babies. Didn't ride the bike hardly at all. Still has original tires!!!!

I can not say a 2 stroke is better or worse than a 4 stroke, just different......It's nice to have both and bust out whatever you want depending on which track you go to and how its groomed. It's kinda like a good snowboard or surfboard. Ride what you feel like riding that day. I can tell you though, when the dirt is moist and deep, smashing a 2 stroke into berms is really why I ride.

Pretty sure there was a guy in the stands at Indy that got on TV with a I Heart 2 Strokes tee shirt. That makes 7. I got rid of my old '06 4 smoke and still have my '00...need to get it running again, but it's all I've got. So I guess that's 8. Wink

If this KX is your "beater", what other bikes do you own?

I have a 1981 Honda z 50, a 2004 Kx 125, a 2007 KX 250 and a 2011 KX 250f. I'm a salesman @ a Kawi, Yamy, Suzuki, KTM, BMW, Triumph, MotoGuzzi, Vespa and OSET dealer. I usually pick up good trade in bikes for myself to ride for the year and sell when winter hits. I've "kept" my 2 strokes in the last few years as I really like riding them. I need to have a newer "thumper" as our tracks is hardpacked in the fall and spring, and the water truck and groomer are not running yet. I bring the 125 and 250 2 stroke out when the conditions are mint, I usually have to beat my buddies off them and they burn up all my pre mix. All of us old bastards love 2 strokes, but not everybody'd old lady will let them have a garage full of bikes......

Yup, I've got three smokers and a CRF450 (the 08'). It hasn't been easy with the Mrs. but I follow the motto that it's easier to ask for forgiveness than to ask for permission. What's done is done, am I right? Ha ha!

Yes. I worked there from 2003-2007, and now I'm back there after working at another dealer. I'm working on Saturdays at the moment and start full time again in April. I've been off since December on parental leave. My wife and I had our son in April 2011 and we split the time off, she took form April to December and I took December to April. It's been great being home with Mason. But I have to go back to work in to 2 weeks.Cool Cool Cool

Thats sweet, I love it when the whole family is into riding. The 125 I have I bought for Alanna, and up till last year she was riding all the time......she even did a few laps around the track while Mason was in her tummy. But after having him, she is more into MTN biking now and does not have much interest in riding lately. I guess when Mason is old enough to ride she may get back into it.....
Here are a few photos of her racing and of our "gang". Its funny, all her friends who she rides with all had kids last summer and are taking some time off too, they even called themselves the "MOTOBITCHES". I bought a 250 f this year rather than a 450 hoping that she will like it and get back into riding, as she kinda had a hard time on the 125, not all the time, but on tracks that had tight stuff she would foul the odd plug. Seeing her teary-eyed with a dead bike was pretty tough.....
I hope she gets back into it, as we had heaps of fun going to the track together and riding....
