At the start of each race, take the camera down the starting line so we can see who is racing, and where they are lined up.
We all have favorite riders to watch as they rocket down the start straight.

thanks in advance,

and one other thing.....FIRE RALPH
Come on now, Ralph does just fine.

not showing the start line is just something that they missed, that's all.

Or when he said Vince Friese was on a Motoconcepts Kawasaki

Don't hijack my one wish.

Speed:
Sometimes we get to see a zoomed up shot of the knobby front tires on the anonymously ridden machines, othertimes we get 5 or 6 riders on the nearest side to the camera.

I think we need the entire line, all 20 gates and slow enough to see who is who

And just what was wrong w/ my post? Did Ralph not refer to Mookie as Malcolm Smith several times?

I never understood the problem with Ralph. He makes the least mistakes, corrects the other guys when they same something wrong and knows what he's talking about for the most part. Is it his hair or something that causes all the hatred?

i was watching nascar last weekend, and noticed the crank it up part. its when the the guys dont say a word and the camera is by the track and they just get the cars sound as they go by. something like that would be cool. like maybe next to the whoops. a real close shot with a good microphone sitting real close to really pick up the bike sound.

Wish they would follow the race closer on the first couple of laps when the riders are really getting sorted out. If one guy falls in the first turn it seems like they usually stay on the guy way too long or show a holeshot replay while the most exciting part of the race is happening.

Hearing the gate drop and the roar of the bikes is exciting as hell when you are in the stadium - and it would be cool if they could deliver that moment a little better over the tv - maybe the crank it up idea would be good at that spot.

Yes! I agree completely and have often thought the same.

The camera should follow the lead guys for the first lap because thats when there is the closest racing...THEN, go back and show a replay of the first turn pile-up

And if it was up to me.....it would be Weege, Ping and DV in the booth. Ping and DV would be like Dandy Don and Howard Cosel week in and week out. Lots of slapping and french insults.

Did you miss the part where he said Malcolm Smith was racing this last weekend?

And his hair is "Silky Smooth".

good call on the start thing. I just rewatched the fo-fid main, 6 feet away from a brand new samsung 55 and had no idea where guys were. Oh and Ricky, its "deceiving" not "conceiving" . Home skool hillbilly.

It would be cool if they could have an arrow pointing down and staying with about the top 4 or 5 guys on the start like in NASCAR too. Sometimes its hard to tell who is who rocketing down the start stretch. I'm not going to bitch about anything though because remember a few years ago when we had to wait a week to even see the race?

There are some solid suggestions in here. I agree that they need to keep an eye on the front runners for the first lap rather than focusing in on the guys who have gone down in the first corner. Maybe they could do a picture in picture or a split frame but to focus on the wreck, even after everyone is re-mounted and starting to kick their bike again. . . and while the first 4 or 5 guys are all rubbing elbows. . . just a bit hard to follow the logic.

If they can't think of anything more insightful than;

1. Get a good start
2. Keep it on two wheels

...then they should forget about that dumb ass 'keys to the race' feature once and for all. It gets worse every week and whoever comes up with them must spend all of two seconds considering each "key".

How about increasing the font size so old guys can read it.

Exactly what my dad said while watching the race! They really need to think harder or get rid of it.
