Just wanted to let everyone know that Hanny was DQ'd from the first heat due to the most blatant and idiotic track cut I've ever seen, lol.

Basically, he was off the track and in last after the start, so he decided to cut out the first left hander, then the right hander after, and lastly the triple. He pretty much just drove straight across the grass, not even being anywhere near the track. This move took him from last to 4th...only problem it that everyone saw him do it.

Not sure what he was thinking, but he might have had a shot to come back in those conditions for a qualifying spot. Personally, I didn't mind seeing his bad luck continue in the LCQ. He was certainly looking and acting like the Hanny of old...hopefully he gets back to his early season form and remembers that people are watching when he attempts to cut the track like that.

Yea saw that rewatching it he didnt even try to enter the track then he turned right and the camera changed looked like he was going to cut a bunch off the track. Not surprised that it was Hansen.

i saw that he cut the track after getting blown off the track in the first turn start. to me, it made sense what he did.
he didnt want to race from last to a qualifying position in that crap with all that traffic, so he tucked in behind 3rd i believe at the time and got some clear track time without racing thru carnage.figured the track out by being behind the front runners for a while then pulled off before end of race. im sure he knew he would eventualy be black flagged, although i didnt see one.maybe i missed it.

I'm sure after the start he just said fuck it, quit making it out to be something bigger then it is.He knew he wouldn't get away with it but tried anyway. He's not in the championship hunt or contending for wins, chill bro.

i think he realized the lcq was were he was going to get a cleaner race.but some one snagged his footpeg i believe in the second turn .

Really zippy? You think it makes any kind of sense to cut an entire section of the track out and to get black flagged? I guess you're entitled to your own opinion, but it's just comical to think something like that could have made any sense.

What makes sense is to get back on the track and wait for people to crash because there was carnage all over the place. That way, he could have avoided the LCQ, which he didn't make it out of anyways.

I'm not a Hansen hater, I just wasn't sure if TV showed it or not. I would call it idiotic for any rider to cut like that and still try to stay in the race.

We watched it from the stands. It was a wtf moment. Complete waste of effort by his team. He could have possibly qualified if he just followed the track. Stupid ass.

So what if he would have accidentally taken out somebody that was legitimately fighting for position? After he blatantly cheated...

So.................. He had given up qualifying and just wanted to follow the fast guys around to see their lines? Yeah that makes sense.

Weston Peick went from pretty much last to 8th in that heat... He should have tried to do the same. I also thought it was stupid of him to go back to the pits in the LCQ... Tons of guys crashed and Albertson went from way back to 3rd. One more crash and he would have made it.. once again, that could have been Hansen...

This is it in heat 1, you can barely see Hanny leave the screen, but Milsaps goes back on track and you can tell Josh didnt re enter and i am guessing that he went straight onto the other part of the track? WOW!

Ok now i see it, that vid caught it all, even him re entering the track.
