HOUSTON - A Texas man who shot and killed two men he suspected of burglarizing his neighbor's home was cleared in the shootings Monday by a grand jury.
Joe Horn, 62, shot the two men in November after he saw them crawling out the windows of a neighbor's house in the Houston suburb of Pasadena.
Horn called 911 and told the dispatcher he had a shotgun and was going to kill the men. The dispatcher pleaded with him not to go outside, but Horn confronted the men with a 12-gauge shotgun and shot both in the back.

Dispatcher: Don’t go out the house. Don’t be shooting nobody. I know you’re pissed and you’re frustrated, but don’t do it.
Horn: They got a bag of loot.
Dispatcher: OK. How big is the bag ... which way are they going?
Horn: I’m going outside. I’ll find out.
Dispatcher: I don’t want you going outside, Mr. Horn.
Horn: Well, here it goes, buddy. You hear the shotgun clicking and I’m going.
Dispatcher: Don’t go outside.
Horn: [yelling] Move, you’re dead!
[Sound of shots being fired]
The only problem I have with the whole thing is that.........he actually gave them a warning before shooting.
You're supposed to feel compassion for the felons, and lament the fact that they were deprived of the opportunity to be rehabilitated by the justice system.

My dad shot some guys robbing our store one night. They were running away and was a little too far for the shot-gun but he did wing one of them. They caught them and sent them to prison. When the deputy came out he just told my dad, "Next time, Mr. England, be sure you kill em. Dead people cant sue."
