What is a week in the life of an AMA Supercross track crew member, during race season. How long does it take to build the track and tear it down? Do they ever sleep? And what to they make a year?

I have a good answer for you, but I refuse to respond until you rewrite your question in proper English, using proper grammar and punctuation. If you're an immigrant and English is your second language, I may cut you some slack, but I'll need documented proof. Trust me, it's for your own good. #toughlove

Depends on the week, and how much travel is involved. They do drive some vehicles from race-to-race. But all the plastic that covers the front few rows of seats? That doesn't happen by magic. All the banner hanging? Tuff Blox installation and track structures (the beast, starting gate, flame cannons, podium, etc.) Yep, they do that. Covering (and uncovering) the track when it rains? They've got it.

They also might work in the infield during the race, or around the track, and also do tear-down after. Most of them know how to drive a variety of vehicles...including big forklifts used for constructing parts of the track, etc.

The Dirtwurx guys start building tracks about tuesday, these dudes work their asses off. Ive been lucky enough to spend a couple days working with them because one of them is my homie. They pretty much sprint thursday and friday....serious hustle then spend the entire day on the floor for race day. They get there about 8am work the race then start tearing the track down after its over. All dirt and plywood is gone by sunday afternoon...thats pretty much a 24 hr day. I know that at seattle last year two guys left the moment the race was over in st. louis and flew into seattle to get a head start. They built that track in 16hrs straight and had it covered in time for the rain. It really does crack me up when people sit behind their computer and bash the Dirtwurx crew for whatever because honestly in the big picture most have no clue as to what it takes to put this series on. Yes they are compensated well but if I had to spend 5 months away from my family it had better be a good compensation. Believe me Ive dreamed of hitting the road and probably could get on if i wanted but I cant leave my kids...even though im obsessed with this sport. I got to fill and pack the gate in at stl last year and I giggled like a little girl the whole time. Then during the race we pulled tuff blocks for the mechanics area and I stood on my feet for 10hrs that day which gave me a whole new respecct for these guys. working for 10hrs and just standing for 10hrs is two entirely dif situation

The Feld guys hustle their ass off too, the safety dude is super intense (awesome guy) all these guys on the tour work very very hard to make the races sparkle

I mean just the fact that floor is entirely covered with plywood blows my mind, not to mention the truck loads of tuff blocks, scoring stand, finish line, holeshot tower, and that new starting gate structure HAS to be a pain in the ass. Looks awesome thou

To answer the question quickly...

They do way more work than you can imagine, and don't get paid that much. America should look at these guys as role models for hard work.

There should be a "week in the life" of the guys behind the scenes... Get on it, Gibby.
