Did you forget what he looked like on the ktm last year? While I dont expect him to run down and beat Stewart and Villopoto straight up, he looks 100 times better, more confident and is definetly faster on the RMZ.
He's held off reed and stewart for a few laps in some races this year already.
Last year he was rolling the whoops section while on the ktm.

The "finish line" results dont tell the entire story about how he has been riding.

Never really believed the "hype" but Mike and Jeff and Tony as well are "core" enough for me to be a fan of theirs. Stay safe and keep it wicked and good things will happen. I'm more of an outdoors fan anyway and that's where they shine.
