RV doesn't look fast.......

Edited Date/Time 2/21/2012 4:22pm
maybe that's the key to his success......he has such great technique that he doesn't appear to be trying. You know he is but every week you see guys doing crazy sections that RV might not do and you can tell those sections are SO MUCH FASTER. But really, if they are so much faster why does RV usually have the fastest lap times? I'm just saying that the guys that LOOK fast are fast.....but the one that doesn't is probably even faster....

Ummm...looks to me like the guy's pushing it to the limits. I'm no pro, but any guy who's raced MX sees it. You an FMX rider?

Exactly my point.....RV didn't ride over his head.....same mistake Stewie made at Daytona last year....Reed settled in....don't get complacent at warp speed...

That one small error by Reed deprived all of us fans from what was shaping up to be the BEST race of
the season. The cat and mouse game was intense. No doubt in my mind that Reed didn't have poto in
his sights and was getting ready to pull the trigger.

Like RJ & Stanton before him, RV has a "no bullshit" riding style.

You got deprived of something that was rightfully yours?

Shhh...keep it down, please. You're going to attract a load of attorneys with talk like that.

Just before Reed's crash RV was making lots of mistakes so my take is that you are wrong.

I know what you mean. He has such good control of the bike with his legs that he doesnt look insanely fast. His technique is flawless. Watch his form and then watch bubba and there is a big difference. I can't believe I'm saying this, but I am starting to think Ryno was right about Stewart and riding on his arches compared to Villo riding on the balls of his feet.

Stanton's name came up on the way to the airport this morning...in comparison to everyone saying RV is the new RC...

Ryan smiled and Aldon nodded.

He's the most "prepared".

Anyone saying Reed was going to pass RV is just guessing and nothing more. Bottom line is they were both pushing the ragged edge. They both made mistakes at that pace. RV almost lost his front end and Reed misjudged the distance to clear that hump with the ruts in it. Unfortunately, his mistake cost him the championship like RV'S mistake 2 years ago. That's just racing......

Looks super aggressive to me. Dungey and Windham don't look like they are trying because of style.

RV dropped off his lap times nearly 2secs after Chad's crash....another lap or two and he would have broken...you have to remember, the speed these guys ride at things happen so fast they are often over before they know it.

RV was on his limit to stay in front of Chad, thats why RC was commenting on Reed saying he could slightly back off here and there then catch up again.

Are you kidding me? Do you know which one RV is? The Green bike with the #1 on it...red back grounds.

EVERYONE I talk to about RV says he rides like the track screwed his wife and he is literally trying to inflict as much pain as possible on it, in an act of revenge. . He is so agressive and so fast...and he looks it.

Reed didn't "look" like he was going as fast as RV....RV looked like he was going way faster than Chad.

I don't know man...I think you're way off on this one. (Dungey..you'd have a point...Windham...you'd have a point...but RV? Nah...)

Cause they were already 10+ seconds out. He only slowed down and matched the pace of the field....
