Yea, I did see him, he was going a lap down holding up 2 of the fastest SX racers on the planet about 10 minutes after the gate droped. He looked ahhhright for that 1st lap though...........Dumbgeon.

MA still lookin good to me this year. I think he had a right to be frustrated with the red flag, anyone who is leading and gets the race red flagged is going to be. Glad Ray was alright, dude's a shredder but needs to drop about 60 pounds, he gets tired and starts flailing in a serious hurry.

I also saw a guy holding up a great race for the lead around lap 15. Was that the same guy?

He is looking pretty good. He was in 9th and holding his line. I think he rode a good race.

I'll give you that. He was riding really well in his heat race. At a track with treacherous whoops no less. If he can just start like he used to he has potential to be best of the rest.

Hey Bobby- I was psyched to see Alessi up front, but what's up with the looking back? He's been doing it since he was a rookie. Does anybody ever look back and then pull away? He does it constantly and it personally irritates the crap out of me. He's a great rider, but he seems to be obsessed with the guys around him, rather than riding the track.
One more thing- what's up with his shoulders? His upper body is stiff as a rod. His shoulders are up in his helmet because he rides so tight. I would pump up too if if every muscle in my upper body was tight as a gnat's ass.

O cool, so if you keep it on 2 wheels and don't wreck then it's ok to ignore the blue flags? neat!

I agree Bobby, one of the few dudes to run the leaders pace this season, even if he was being lapped. Needs to get his
shit together should be top 5 every race with his talent.

Hows come i dont see anyone rippin on Chad for looking back over the triple right before RV made the pass? I thought he sorta mindfucked himself on that one...lost concentration for just that split second and RV pounced.

Mikeys heat race was awesome, not sure if we have ever seen him ride that fast in a SX? I too was gutted when the red waved, i cant imagine how bummed he was.

that opinion is subjective and i doubt if the outcome of the race would have been any different.

Ha- Scottie that proves my point. Looking back never works. And I would say Reed gets a little more leeway because he is a multi-time champ. Alessi has never done anything in Supercross, let's face it. It seems to be mental. I am not trying to slam the guy, these are just things that seem plainly obvious to me. It seems if Alessi smoothed out and got more flow, instead of manhandling everything, he might get some results in the stadiums.

That I can agree with. Someone mentioned to me that Reed would have beat RV if it weren't for Alessi but I don't think that is the case (IMO).

concerning the "alessi look back" you sir have an uncanny and phenomenal sense of spotting a sx racers minute and infinitesimal riding and posture details that not one person that i know of could match...congrats.

and somebody should mention this never seen before revelation to mike asap.

Mmmmmm, the leaders pace? Not putting the guy down, but in practice, he was a tick under 2 seconds behind the leader, same in his heat race and in the main, his BEST was 2.5 seconds off, thats 50+ seconds over the 20 lap main, I wouldn't exactly call that the leaders pace. Before the Red flag, he did get a good start and ran good through the whoops, but that is not even the equivelant of "winning" practice. He has done better than many people expected so far, but not on the pace of the leaders.

Have to agree MA was riding good, first heat appeared more dialed in that James (maybe not such a big accomplishment though). Odd that he can't deliver in the main? Mental? Can't be stamina, seems fit still...

Brayton,Hanson,Reed,Windham and Allesi all rode aus 2010,Reed,Brayton,Windham ,Hanson and the only Aussie Jake Moss all won rounds. Mike never won a round and when i look at the 450 pts this year, these pros look not much different to how it was then, must mention Chad did one round,Windham did 2 rounds,Brayton did 3 rounds and Hansen,Moss and Allessi rode every round. Mike looked fast out front on the weekend and he looked so fast here every holeshot.

Here you go, can be seen in this video at around 40:57. I don't blame him for being a little rattled by the restart but if he had the confidence in himself I don't think he would have acted this way.

The kid can ride SX and always could. I don't know if it's a mental issue or he simply needs a start in the main but he needs to start getting some clean races in with decent results and get some confidence.

Not quite sure why they would do a full restart with half of the race ran. MX/SX needs to find a way to do a rolling restart based on rider position in these situations. The technology is there.

If they had a better method of administering red flag situations it might even be more safe for the riders, teams, track workers and medical personnel attending to the situation. You have to admit when you are over half way in a main event and someone goes down hard the sanctioning body has a hell of a decision to make regarding whether the race can or should be red flagged since their only method for a restart is to line em up on the gate and do it all again.

I think a rolling restart tightens up the race but doesn't completely change the face of the race like a full gate restart can often do.
