looks incredible, especially when compared to the stocker which hadn't advanced in cosmetics and ergos from 1985 until the end.

Very nice looking ride!! and i am absolutely loving the graphics / team name Cool

Instead of "Team OC" i had made "OC Racing" way back in the day. It was my nickname "OC" and then i used that as the name of my shop in my garage that i used as a cover for another sorta "business" i ran Whistling

AH i see it on the front fender sticker now, the glare on the shroud sorta hid it.

A buddy of mine has one that looks identical (sans graphics). He said it is a blast and good exercise but that it vibrates like nobody's bidness. All I know is that the thing doesn't throw as much roost as a 450 coming out of corners but once he cracks that throttle, the roost hurts WAY worse than a 450. It's also like a stealth bike out there. Can't even hear the thing even when you're right next to it unless he opens it up.

Send the crank out to be balanced. It's worth the cost on a big bore 2 stroke.

Nicely done!

We are about to embark on the same project. Are you willing to share any major problems you encountered or things we should know that will make the job go smoother?

I can ask my buddy and see if he encountered anything in particular. I do know one he got the motor id did go fairly fast as far as the build goes.

Real nice job! What frame (year and size), did your buddy use?
A "built" KX500 engine is over the top - should be a hoot.
