My wife and I were having a yard sale a few years back and a man came up and I thought he looked familiar.
Turns out it was Kirk's dad. We had a long conversation about how much fun we had "back in the day".

Anyone ever see Jeff Hope wax the 100`s at the Orlando track on his XR75? Yarnell is still blazing fast. Usually wins when he races.

I've been going through some old pics and came across this and thought i'd practice posting with it. Fred was a good friend of mine and we shared good times and bad, I do miss him as well as others, had some great rivalry's with several riders mentioned here and didn't get along to well with some, but we were all young and did what we felt we had to then. would be great to get together with you guys and tell stories.

Very cool Joe,

I also remember and miss Fred, and considered him a friend, even though i hadnt seen him since the 80s, the first time i seen this thread, the riders i thought of were ,J.Cartier,, Mark Murphy, J.Pinner, Todd Hempstead, Freddie Van Waggoner, and Karl Jordan, and im sure there were many others, from 1976 until 1980 or so.

That picture was your Mini Elsinore from the sr mini class, brings back a ton of memorys, when you get a chance post more pics, and look for a thread called old fla pics, it has some great pics from the 70s in it.
Larry,,
I finished 2nd to Freddie Van Waggoner in the Mini - Nationals... We rode for Yamaha of Troy Alabama. I rode the last race with a broken finger and we just duck taped it and raced. I just remember the sand wop's getting so large, they were more like jumps for mini's... Mike Bray

My name is David French, Tony Dayton was a great 100cc racer and a greater friend.
