Other than that, I think you're looking for drama where there isn't any.
Yep, more "drama queens" in here than at a Lady Gaga concert. Shocked

I did think that it was interesting that James said that he made most of his moves on the inside last weekend, and what most considered a pretty slippery track. Apparently they weren't working too bad. Smile

I've heard Reed complaining about front tires this year more than I've heard JGR/Stewart complaining. It seems like he's mentioned it in every interview this year.

Talking about the tiregate, why would they have ran Dunlop tires without at least putting Pirelli decals on them. Nobody would have caught it then. Maybe a Pirelli or Dunlop rep would have caught it knowing the tread patterns like they do. I know the original issue has come and gone but it just makes sense to protect your sponsor even if you're not using their product. Free marketing for Dunlop there.
According to Matthes, the tire on the right is the Bridgestone that they tried. So it looks like they did put a Pirelli logo on it.

No issue for JGR tomorrow. James finaly wisened up and changed the set up of his bike a little by softening the front suspension just a tad. He is now a mortal man through the whoops but can turn the bike without worrying about washing out now. It was never the tires, look at last year.

He was cutting down really well in the corners.

His corner speed looked a lot better and he didnt seem lost or tenative around the flat turn on the start.

Tires, setup or what ever I really hope he can keep battling so we can see a great season of racing.

Four races, four winners. When has that ever happened?

You need everything in a series. You need tracks with big whoops, tracks with small whoops, no whoops, and everything in between. The series needs a bit more variety.

If you listen to the pulpmx show from this week, Jbone said the tires weren't the problem, it was setup from getting the parts late. The tire change just came about from trying to eliminate a variable and JS7 said they were pretty much the same feel so they went back to Pirelli.

From your link...

In the very first practice, Stewart went out with a Bridgestone front tire and Pirelli rear which didn't really affect anyone because Bridgestone has pulled out of dirt bike racing and therefore, no one was really upset.

Second practice was Pirelli's front and rear and then in the third practice, it was a Dunlop rear with a Pirelli front

Yes, I'm sure tires weren't as good as they wanted, but it wasn't THE problem. It wasn't like they threw a dunlop on there and it cured what was ailing them.

They have come up with a tire that not only sticks to the dirt, it changes it'self between races.
