After George Carlin died Sunday night, sports-related tributes focused on his routine about the barbarism of football against the mirth of baseball.

But we had another Carlin moment Monday, and it came courtesy of Shaquille O'Neal.

Carlin, the 71-year-old comedian, was best known for his "Seven Words You Can Never Say On Television" routine, a bit that went all the way to the Supreme Court. So there we were Monday, reflecting on the man's passing, when all of the sudden the video of Shaq rapping about Kobe Bryant in a nightclub hit TMZ.com and every other Web site in the world except perhaps Kobe's.

Short synopsis: Morning Buzz fought a valiant battle to print the catchy refrain, but we lost. It was judged the Seven Words You Can Never Say (Together, At Least) In This Newspaper.

But there was other enjoyment from Shaq, who began his freestyle rap with: "Check it, you know how I be / Last week Kobe couldn't do without me."

In reference to the Colorado rape charge where Bryant told police he should have paid the woman $1 million like Shaq does, O'Neal rapped, "I'm a horse, Kobe ratted me out, that's why I'm gettin' divorced."

Is there any wonder why people love Shaq and despise Kobe?

After the video engulfed the Internet, Shaq told ESPN.com, "I was freestyling. That's all. It was all done in fun. Nothing serious whatsoever. That is what MCs do. They freestyle
