I find it kinda funny and ironic how much people bag on RD for saying pretty much the same spiel in his podium interviews, yet they dont bag on RV for saying nothing but his repetitive list of sponsors over and over.

I agree! There are very few riders who can speak on the podium but this site is still hilarious!

You could create any mx'er interview if you had a randomizer of:

"at the end of the day"
"yeah, no."
"you know."
"put in some solid results"
"just gotta put in my laps."
"totally super-pumped."
"gonna put my head down."
"one race at a time."
"put in 20 solid laps."

Ex:
"yeah, no, you know I just gotta put in 20 solid laps, put my head down and take it one race at a time. At the end of the day you just gotta put in some solid results,"

Ryan Dungey is a good kid. Hopefully he will learn that sentences have periods on the ends of them. Nick Wey could maybe help him in that area.

The thing that kills me with RV interviews........when he says "I can't thank my team....." and he forgets to say "enough"!

Also he thanks Jeff Fox from Parts unlimited.......I don't think that guys has been there for years. Makes no sense, it's almost like he is just taps into this tape recorder in his brain and doesn't even think about what he is saying.

That is annoying that he forgets to say enough... lol.

The thing is... RV can actually spit out some some pretty honest and thoughtful responses on occassion. RD's almost never change at all, from what I've seen.

Dungey can NOT form a sentence it is soooooo hard to listen to.

RV can form a sentence.

RC wasnt so hot with interviews in the begining.

Probably because RV does a lot more interviews and his interviews are usually pretty good.

Podium speeches can be pretty terrible, but if you've never had to give any kind of speech, you shouldn't criticize. It's so easy to not realize what you're saying, especially after just finishing 20 laps at that rate. That, plus all the noise, people running around, being in front of thousands of people, and knowing you have to mention a certain list of sponsors. I can't say I'd be able to do any better.

Actually you're wrong... RD made the podium in 13 sx's compared to RV's 12. Outdoors RD made the podium in 22 motos, with the only exceptions his DNF at Freestone and the moto at Southwick where the bike wouldnt start. RV made the podium in 21 motos outdoors. Thus RD had 35 podiums to RV's 33.
