I think the clue is in the Name Ontario, but to narrow it down iam looking at kawatha lakes near peterborough, had alook at some of the trails and tracks out there online , they just look sweet, in spain there very rocky and hard , my mate lost his front teeth last year when i fired a few rocks at him ( CLASSIC hahahahaha ) but ive had my share of falls here .

Peterborough is a great area. There is a huge system of trails including the Ganaraska forrest. You will also need a plate and insurance to ride them. Also check out the Burnt River Facility, they have a track and some trails

Excellent, cheers twister , whats the general cost for these things there , i think iam gonna have to buy a bike out there because it could be just to much of a nightmare shipping my bikes there , I dont think the wife is gonna like my bikes piled ontop of her new furniture in a container, hahaha.

The plates are cheap but the insurance will kill you.Try state farm but they may want all your insurance with them.I think Burnt River is around $30.00 for they day and you can ride the trails and track.Try asking about insurance at mxforum.com it is a Canadian site.Bikes are way more expensive here than in the states.
If you move there you will have to take in a Peterborough Petes hockey game they are way more fun then a Leafs game.

Must be nice tro get on your bike and go.The cops here are not dirt bike friendly. They actually patrol the Ganaraska on quads.Buy the way there is cheaper insurance out there i just don't know who offers it.

Yes they are very polite while they are writing the tickets lol.But there are some who are not so nice.I don't know about bike shops in Peterborough but Asselstines in Port Perry are very good to deal with.

I live in Peterborough and it is a great place to live but there isnt really anywhere good to ride close by, there is however lots of riding options within 30-40 min north, east, and west of us. To ride trails you do need insurance but I think I pay around $200 for the year, eventhough I dont ride trails much. I prefer to ride at Burnt River, we can camp there and they also have a kids track, its really laid back and alot of fun. Go to www.burntriveroffroad.com , The Ganaraska forest is awesome on a sled but I have never been there on a bike, although it is supposed to be great for bikes. Marmora which is east of us have some good riding spots as well.

I have lived in Ontario and BC, and if you have the choice to live anywhere, move to BC. It's so much nicer, there is no comparison.

Bring your bike if shipping it is cheap. Canadians think their used bikes are worth the price of new.

www.gopherdunes.com in south western Ontario
This is a great place to be within driving distance plus you are not that far from Michigan if you are into trails, it's unreal over there.

True...

Ontario is alright. My biggest complaint is winter, but it seems like you're looking forward to it.

Dude what the hell are you saying, I can not ride my bike anywhere without plate, it is not like I dont do it, but I better try to avoid the police or I get fucked, they dont encourage me to go riding into the woods without plate. Dont you know that we have some organizations because it is getting harder and harder ride enduro even with plates? Where do you live in Spain? if I can ask....

Enjoy, winters can be cold, summers are really hot and humid...there are some beatiful spots, just make sure you bring your bug spray along with you, I'm convinced some of the bugs in cottage country are carnivorous!
