Abortion is bad...it's looked at as murder (taking someone elses life). But just like in other instances of murder (taking someone elses life) there are times when it's justified.

I guess I am having a problem getting it.

If life begins at conception and is sacred, and life is life, and abortion is murder, how can one murderous act be justified over another based solely on the manner of conception, which is no fault of the fetus, which is now considered "living" by the standards of "life begins at conception"

Every life is sacred, if Joe Dirtbag (who's life is sacred) breaks into your house and pulls a gun on you, then you shoot and kill him, neither the justice system or the church would convict you, for the same reason (you have the right to preserve your own life and health). It's also not called murder anymore.

If a carrying fetus to term/birth will put a woman's life/health in jeopardy, she has the same right to preserve her own life and health.

I am not questioning self defense and it's not really a part of the discussion.

But the fetus is not putting the woman's life in jeopardy.
