Nothing against YOT. They did great in SX. How did 338's bike do last week?

Why don't you actually compare them then. Champs since 2000:

YoT

Fonseca (2x SX)
Roncada (SX)
Reed (SX)
Lawrence (SX)

PC
Brown (MX)
Tedesco (2x SX, 1 MX)
Langston (2x SX)
Villopoto (SX, 2x MX)
Townley (SX)

Of course PC has the edge, hard to deny that, but YoT really punches above their weight. Only other satellite team that can figure into that is FC, with two SX titles.

PC
Brown (MX)
Tedesco (2x SX, 1 MX)
Langston (2x SX)
Villopoto (SX, 2x MX)
Townley (SX)

Bentley
Pichon
MC

Good point Mark Dude99 ....
YOT is a great team but it still not a big decision......

It's really not for the dedicated ones.

PC's budget is huge... YOT's is almost nill.

That's about the only reason Mitch has been able to have a pick of the litter for up and coming riders and has the reputation that he has for champions.

FC doesn't have a dyno or flowbench, YOT doesn't have a dyno or flowbench, they just can't afford it. They have to rely on borrowing test equipment.

They do pretty well for what they have and available to them.

Jesse do you ever do any work in YOTs motors? Or do you just supply the valves?

Nope. He won the West for PC in '99. He raced for YoT in 2001 on the 250F but finished 2nd to Pastrana.

If you had the chance, they were both paying the same $, etc, and you had the chance whom would you rather ride for? Yamaha of Troy or Pro Circuit in the Lites class? Just curious as to answers.
Huckster, you have a good point there. IMO, the majority of it does have to do with the rider although you do need good backing as well!

And that's awesome! Glad he was loyal to the man whom turns his wrench and like you said, look where it got him! PC is extremely strict when it comes to just about everything. This is good and bad. Just my 2 cents, take it or leave it.

I would like someone here to try and tell me the difference between the two bikes, becouse there is not much at all. I dont understand why everyone assumes the PC bike is so much better. For every champ PC has poduced they have had 3 losers.

Mitch and Bones are relentless hard workers and the team has benefited from it. Plus they have the advantge of getting all the team green prospects that Kawasaki wants to keep.

When YOT first started the old owner had the same ambition as Mitch but he fell apart.
If the old owner wouldnt have run YOT into the ground with gambleing, drug and alchohol abuse then the YOT team would be a premier team. When management runs a team into the ground for 3 years then hires someone who basically does the same for another 2 years its hard to rebound. Its hard to hire elite riders when the team cant pay their bills, and that was their situation for a while.

Mitch's budget isn't the only reason for the titles.

Give Bills -Rockstar-Susuki- 5 million a couple of years ago and their results would have been about the same.

You don't have to be in the industry to know that. And Mitch doesn't always pay the top dollar, It's an honor to race for his team.

I think you are refering to the Team manager and not the owner of YOT

if they were going to be like PC where's the Dyno's and all the Shop equipment ?

I doubt they had it and don't now.

No I am talking about the team owner and not the manager at that time.

Didnt you catch the part were I said he had the ambition but fell apart? YOT was on its way. Fonz, Reed, Ramsey, Roncada all won titles with them before they fell apart. At the time factory yamaha was building their motors while they were working on a engine program.

I know you think you are the know all insider, but maybe there are a few things you dont know.
