I saw where Susan Atkins has asked for a compassionate release from prison because she has cancer. Part of me says yeah, society should have compassion. Then part of me remembers how she told Sharon Tate she had no compassion for her....she surely didn't show any compassion for any of the other victims, nor their families, with her antics at trial. So I'm inclined to think she can die incarcerated just as she was originally sentenced.
Should she be released?

and get it over with. Let her know the fear of death in her lifetime, the way you can only feel it right before you die a terrible death.

You guys ever see "Helter Skelter"? That actor Steve Railsback? I think that was the actors name that played Manson. The actor did a great job of being a wacked out scary freak.
If they want out, they get out. Otherwise, they can do the time.
Sure, they're sorry they got caught and spent decades in prison as model prisoners. But the depraved murderer still lives inside them it seems to me.
Don't want to leave out Tex, he was equally or more the homicidal lunatic.
I was a different person 16 yrs ago, not murderous, but really damn stupid and I could've easily killed someone by accident.
I honestly believe she was a different person all those years ago, back when I was just a kid, because I was a totally different person only 16 yrs ago.

Forcing someone to live in prison to their death is much more punishment.
