Opinions on which bike you think is the best bike of the last 10 years, and not turn it into a 2 stroke - 4 stroke debate. I will say 2007-2008 crf 450, 2012 rmz 450, kawy 450-2012, 2012 ktm 250sx, tie between 2006,2006 yz 250,rm250,newer yz 125 honorable mention. And this is the bike you would spend your hard earned money on..

Seems like a good list, although I have an 06 yz250 and it's probably my least favorite 250 I've owned. I actually really liked my 05 CRF450, thing was like a cadillac. I'd say some of the older ktm 125's were really good for their time, the motors were always head and shoulders above the japanese bikes. You could probably add the ktm 150 in there as well.

05-08 CRF450, 04+RM250 2-stroke, any YZ250F (can't knock a reliable 4-stroke 250F), 08+ RMZ450, 05+ YZ250

I think all 250 4-strokes suck except the YZF because they are all ticking time bombs but I hear the KXF has been badass since they went aluminum frame,

Honestly..all the bikes are good except for maybe a year or two when they were new (ala the 09 crf450 for example)

1. Klx 110, most fun and just awesome..
2. YZ 125 - from pretty much 05 onwards
3. 2012 Kx 250f - I heard these things are meant to be the dogs.. Can't wait for the '13 bike.
4. I guess, an rm 250 from Rc's era. those things were hugely popular, hugely loved and are just plain cool..
5. I don't know.. This years kxf 450? CRT 450?

I know it's not going to be: a KTM 350 or a yamy 450..

I hate to break the news to you Newman, but if your too old and fat (I am too) for a 125, a 150 won't be much different...Smile

Our 08 144SX is an absolute blast and the newer 150's are supposed to be quite a bit better. Everytime I try a modern 250 2 stroke I always find myself going back to the tiddlers. Just love the whole 125 experience only it's on roids with the 150.

Yeah, my 09 250SX is a blast, but takes A LOT of energy to ride.

My number 1 is my 2009 YZF450.A fantastic overall machine with awesome suspension, great handling, super easy to ride motor and best of all bulletproof reliability. I think it got a bad rep from MXA for being slow but to me the motor was perfect.

My 2005 CRF would have to be a close second. I had the 2002 before this and the 2005 was a huge improvement . Great handling and incredible reliability lead the good list. For me I thought the suspension was a little harsh and the motor was a bit to aggressive at times. It really had more power than I would ever need and the more mellow YZF suited me better.

2006 YZ250 is 3rd. Fantastic 2-stroke and great handling bike. I've had a 06 KX250, 06 RM250 and 08 KTM 250 2 strokes as well but I think the YZ is just an overall better bike. It has a fantastic 2 stroke motor and sweet handling. I think the other bikes may have been a bit faster but none are as easy to ride or seem to last as long before feeling beat. THe YZ is third because it is just harder to ride than the big 4 strokes plane and simple. It does sound and smell better though.

My #4 is my 07 RMZ250. THis was a super fun bike. I have had close to 40 bikes over the years and I think this one was by far the best handling of them all. The thing just feels like an 80 on the track and you can just put the bike anywhere. My main beef was the reliability. This was a bike that just did not hold together. THe motor could have used more top end too but i could have lived with out that if the motor could stay in one piece.

Seems like a lot of people like the 07-08 CRF 450 but I had one and didn't care for it. I love my '09, but it sounds like I'm a minority there.

I had an '06 CRF 250, the first year for dual exhaust. It was a bit gimicky, I know, but I loved that bike.

I have 2 to add to the bottom 10 though...

Yea I have an 07 CRF450, I think its one of the best bikes ever even compared to all the newer 450's. The new RMZ's seem nice but suzukis are usually junk. The new 12 KXF & CRF450 are lookin pretty yum but not for 9k. Maybe I'll pick up some old rich vet guys used one next year with a bunch of fancy upgrades for half the price.
