I used to like reading the old paper from several years ago. There was an article (by DC I think) that was written in Old English about a lady who removed her petticoat. I think this was in reference to something that happened at the old Bucksnort Tavern one night during Loretta's week. If anyone has that, I would love to read it again!

I have a bunch of them buried in storage, but I don't remember that story. There was some really good stuff in those old newspapers.

It was a neat article and based on a true story.

I drove by where it used to be Saturday on my way to a local track fro practice. The funny thing is none of us "locals" would ever go there until Loretta's week.

I believe it started as the old D-5 newsletter, and it was a lovely slice of underground moto goo.

Think I've got a whole bunch of 'em somewhere....

The Bucksnort Tavern was a happening place until it burned to the ground under somewhat suspicious circumstances. Then we moved on to the Stewart Branch Saloon, which had it all going on until a knife fight broke out amongst some locals and Mike Raring (old CTi guy) literally saved the man's life. Then we decided to start a beer tent on the premises (it was called the AXO Cafe at first, and then the Racer X House, ala Waffle House, and now it's just the beer tent).

But it all really started with Proud Mary's, which alas, like boot gatorz, day-glo and De-Handlers, lived too short a life.

They used to hand these Papers out at the Steel City Natonals, great piece to read which ultimately turned into RacerX Magazine.
