That right there is the reason sponsors keep Wey around. What other "sub" top-10 guy do people look for and root for? Wey is a cool family guy that doesn't take himself to serious. Hopefully he can avoid injuries and continue supporting his family with SX/MX.

yeah, I was thinking while watching the video, if that wasn't Wey, no one would bother filming him. Personality goes a long ways. Some of the kids coming up could learn something from guys like him.

I have been a life long fan of Nick Wey since he came to the Des Moines AX on a KX 125!
He was playing with a Jeremy McGrath RC motorcycle, in the parking lot with the kids!
That and we are the "Real Team Two Seven" (We welcome Nick as a visitor)14 years and counting!

here's to another top 10 year for NICK! hope he does well...he's a true journeyman of the sport, hope he keeps on making a living doing what we all wish we could.

got a chance to shoot pic's of one of his practice sessions up here last summer, he's still the same kid he was when he was 14 and tearing up the mini world. Kid got raised right, he's a steal for his sponsors...best bang for the buck in moto.

What a clean presentation!

Nick looks like he is fit and well groomed (look at Hanny in the H&H Sycuan intro vid, sheesh, talk about haggered looking). The MSR gear looks great and the Kawi looks great. His interview was good, he sounded like a man and not a bro-dude.

He seems to come across as a good guy; I hope he can put in some strong rides this year. I wish some of the younger guys would pay attention to guys like him and Windham and learn how to work the PR machine better. IMO, then you would see more outside-the-industry sponsors opening up the wallets...
