Wonder what a Country would look like if lobbyists ran it?
Fact is, every president is responsible for everything going on. It's called "The Buck Stops Here". Doesn't matter if it was a previously existing problem or not. When you run for and win election to the presidency, everything there is now your responsibility. It's now your problem. You can sit around and whine about who caused what and what isn't your fault. Or you can be the leader your country elected you to be (including the ones who didn't vote for you) and make the right decisions, lead from the front, and be responsible for everything under your watch.
If you do that and the people approve, you will get your re-election without even having a campaign.
Any existing debt when an incoming president walks in is not his/her fault...It's is a preexisting issue.
Any laws passed prior to taking office are preexisting issues
Any actions taken by or issues discovered in regards to the previous administration is not the fault of the present administration.
This applies to every and all administrations.
That's like you starting a new sales job this monday, and then being blamed for the lack of sales three weeks ago.
Yes, a majority of issues eventually falls into the lap of the existing administration, but to say that absolutely none of the actions of a previous administration is a factor, is ridiculous.
This applies at all levels
He's elected to be a leader of the country as it is, and he can either lead, by taking ownership and moving ahead, or he can sit and whine and point fingers.
People are not so stupid as to not understand that the present was built on the past. But if there's a problem, the best way to get people behind you and working for a better future is to be up front and leading by drawing people together, not dividing them and pitting them against each other by pointing fingers and alienating the people.
It's a difficult job in the best of times. It's even harder in times of trouble. But the best way to make the job easier is to keep the people--all the people together and working against the problem and your enemies.
As for getting "all the people together" that's kind of difficult with the leaders and members of the opposition party saying their number one priority is making you a one term President.
If Obama would say something like, "we are where we are. Time to stop looking in the rear view mirror and start moving forward." He'd get more respect than his speeches were he talks about how he inherited all this shit. We know he inherited it. We get that. JMO.
Pit Row
But, I don't think people get he inherited it.
Here's evidence right here, just posted yesterday - http://www.vitalmx.com/forums/Non-Moto,21/January-3-2007,1228998
Seems he and the whack-job website blame everything on this administration and everything was fine on January 3, 2007, implying that everything went to hell in a handbasket the day Obama took office a year later.
Much like arguing with Horndog...simply doesn't care about the truth (unless it accidentally happens to support their warped and hateful views).
