How about Chris Brown? Not as old as these guys. I saw him back in '91 a few times in Jacksonville racing his 80 against the 125's.

80 -100cc
From old Dade city days. Danny Schmitt , Darren Pratt, Joe Nemechek (yes that Joe Nemechek).
And from District 8 tracks Mickey and Rudy Haynes.
Anyone know any others ?
I asked him who you might be yesterday and he said "Scott Brown".

Small world, eh? Were you "Lizard" or was that another guy?

Just saw a post on here the other day from Bubba McClure. I think I remember him and Shane Hiller on Honda's from Honda of Tampa when Ray Delgado was managing it. I know Bubba moved on to 125's but don't know where Shane ended up.

I've been going through some old pics and came across this and thought i'd practice posting with it. Fred was a good friend of mine and we shared good times and bad, I do miss him as well as others, had some great rivalry's with several riders mentioned here and didn't get along to well with some, but we were all young and did what we felt we had to then. would be great to get together with you guys and tell stories.

Very cool Joe,

I also remember and miss Fred, and considered him a friend, even though i hadnt seen him since the 80s, the first time i seen this thread, the riders i thought of were ,J.Cartier,, Mark Murphy, J.Pinner, Todd Hempstead, Freddie Van Waggoner, and Karl Jordan, and im sure there were many others, from 1976 until 1980 or so.

That picture was your Mini Elsinore from the sr mini class, brings back a ton of memorys, when you get a chance post more pics, and look for a thread called old fla pics, it has some great pics from the 70s in it.

the guy in the top pic is rocky folsom, known to many as "the flying squirrel" had he better support and fewer injuries guy probably would have been a top 5 in the nationals easy. the next pic is of todd hempstead and karl jordan(todd along with his cousin k.c. is my current boss) the pic down from them is mark murphy who is my friend that i need to contact because i've not talked to in probably 15 years and he only lives a couple of hours from me. the last pic is of me but thats not my sister, her name is kimbo and her brother was a pretty good rider. i have a ton of pics and enjoy going through them and will post some more if people want to see them

I know all of those guys, Joe. Mention my name to Todd. I used to hang out some with Chris and Jamie. I was a couple years younger than most of you so I was usually one class down from y'all.

Hey Cartier76 please tell Todd,KC,& Billy that Bobby Lee says hello. I spent a many Sundays racing most of the people talked about on this page. The late 70's and early 80's were the best of times to race moto.

I remember Kimbo. I didn't personally know her, but I remember seeing her hanging in the pits with Monte Mcoy at a 76' WinterAMA race. I thought maybe she was Monte's girl friend at the time? MXA magazine sort of noticed her too at Daytona 76' ..... Tongue Who was her racer brother?
12/22/2011 7:36pm
Wasn't Kimbo Kippy Pierce's sister?

Kimbo was Monte's girl friend, Kip Pierce does have a sister named Kim but not this girl, Kimbo's brothers name is Ross and i think they were from the north fl area. I'll post some more pics after the holidays, It would be nice if I knew what your names are I probably would remember you guys.
