Countdown begins for Octane Fest
The countdown has begun for the first Octane Fest which begins next week in Fallon.
An appearance by Supercross King Jeremy McGrath, concerts by the Marshall Tucker Band and Unwritten Law, and a major racing event at Top Gun Raceway have Octane Fest poised to make a significant impact on Fallon and northern Nevada in its inaugural year, said Rick Gray, executive director, Fallon Convention & Tourism Authority.
“We want the event to be a home run, and that means it has to be infused with big names and concerts,” he added.
Octane Fest, June 10-15, is a week of motor sports events and rock concerts that will be anchored by the NHRA Lucas Oil Series Drag Races at Top Gun Raceway.
Another Octane Fest event is a Boys & Girls Club fundraiser dinner on June 12 at the Fallon Convention Center with special guests McGrath and NHRA funny car champion ‘Fast” Jack Beckman.
Tickets for the dinner are on sale now at www.octanefest.com or at the Fallon Convention Center. Tickets are $50 and corporate tables of eight are $750. For more information call 423-4556
