I'm watching this now, pretty damn cool for a MX game to have live video and commentary. 25 riders at once seems a bit much though, so many crashes. Has anyone ever gone a main without crashing in these?

After all the years of Rainbow games they couldn't get close to this type of racing, add a no collision option and the racing would be even better. When I watched the live race the collisions were more trouble then it's really worth when theres so many riders on the track, I'd rather see people racing the track and not getting into pileups or taken out from others all the time.

I definitely hear you Twisted. But collisions are a part of realistic racing. The collisions are actually pretty good when you have a group of skilled riders who know how to race cleanly. It's when you mix mediocre guys with the really fast guys, problems ensue. Sure anyone can run a fast lap by themselves, but to be able to run that pace with a group of riders is a whole other part of winning races.

This was the first time we had 25 riders in a main event. Last year's replica supercross series, we ran 20 man mains. Personally, i thought 25 riders was a bit too much given the technical style of this track.

I finished 8th. Had a 4th place start going into the first rhythm section, got landed on etc, was in DEAD LAST 25th place at the end of lap 1. I was able to salvage all the way back to 5th place by the last lap, but got punted over a berm and lost 3 positions before i finished.

I will say that I'm very frustrated with how many crashes occur during these races. I'd much rather get beat straight up than because i was laying on the ground most of the race.

Its nothing like MCM.... MXS is as simulated to real motocross as any game ever made gets.

When will it have the proper support from apple to run on their computers easily?

Not any time soon sadly. Get a PC! Also Night 2 is tomorrow night, we will be streaming again, and we will crown the SXO Champ, and therefore the winner of a New Bell Moto 9 helmet....Plus other prizes to be awarded as well!

I just did it by youtube videos. Watching, pausing, and doing it. It took me some time but i got it. You have to dl a couple different programs:
Cross Over Games
MX Simulator
COntroller Mate

This is for the Game:

This is for the controller:

Hope that helps.

You don't get analogue control when playing on mac. That program just makes the analogue sticks and triggers simulate pressing a keyboard button, so it's no different from playing on a keyboard. All the controls (gas, brakes, turning, etc.) will all be on/off, there isn't any modulation.

I'd just install a copy of Windows XP in BootCamp and play through that. There are some drivers called MotioninJoy that let you use the PS3 controller normally (so you actually have modulation).

My friend got it to work on his Mac. Granted he had to install a crossover program and then another program to enable the use of a PC controller.

I love and hate MXSim. It's so freaking hard to come to grips with the controls. Balance is harder than real life that's for sure. Even when I get in a flow and run consistent fast (for me) laps I'm way off the pace especially outdoors.

50+ riders last night.

Pretty much every night you can hop on a server and race with 10-15 people. Then the guys at raceFactory run races two nights a week with about a 40 rider turnout.

As far as the number of people that have purchased the game, the user id numbers go from 1-3500.

The user ID's are in to the 5000's now. We will probably break 6000 users soon.

This game is coded in OpenGL which is very CPU based rather than GPU based. All you need is a fairly new dual core processor over 2.5ghz (which can be had cheap these days) and a video card with 512mb memory.

Lol same here. That was awesome. I really hope they can make a console game like this. Imagine a motocross game like forza 4. That would be sick.
