For some reason, when I open any thread on the forum, my cpu usage soars to 100%. This only happens here on vital. Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

Ah, so you're running the prototype Reed/Canard processor? Smile

CamP, not sure what's causing that, but I passed it along to Aaron, and he'll take a peek at it. And it's not viruses. (Bad Steve S) Smile

Does it do it in all browsers? Which one are you using?

the only problem I have with vital is no search engine..to look for certain things on the forum or site.

I'm always getting an "Internet Explorer Script Error" when I'm going into or out of a forum. It doesn't happen all the time though. It says an error has occurred on this page and asks "Do you want to continue running scripts on this page". It doesn't matter if I click Yes, or No, or close the message box and I can continue on. I can't figure it out?

Firefox...the only browser to use...

Drives me nuts that there's no button going to "the last unread post", or a mark indicating which threads I've posted in.

I'm using Firefox. I tried IE and it runs better, at about 50-60% cpu but I normally see 6% on other forums. It's weird, it only happens when I open a thread. Not when I'm browsing the index.

I run Firefox with absolutely no problems....except on this site where things started getting worse about a week ago.

I usually browse through and middle click on the threads that I want to read, which opens them up in a new tab. Well, here lately when I do that, it bogs down my computer tremendously. Eventually to where the browser doesn't respond to anything. This only happens on Vital and I'm not sure why.

I've also had problems with Youtube videos that were embedded on this site. They aren't playing through with hesitating and skipping. Never had that happen before and when I go directly to Youtube, everything plays through just fine.

It happens to me. I think it is related to the adobe X-Fighters skyscraper ad on the right.

that's a big smelly 10-4 on that one Matt. Wish Aaron could write a few bars of code to fix this lil prob.
