Reed and MC. those two are the reasons i started racing and why i enjoy watching as much as i do.
so suck it, bro
I have to admit Reed has really opened my eyes this past year. I thought he used to be the biggest tool at the races. Maybe he was, maybe he wasn't. Regardless he seems like a good guy now. I think us as fans will get more out of him after he's done racing than before when he was racing. It's like he wants to give more back to racing when he is done then what he was given.
Anyways, MC will always be cool even when it isn't cool for him to be cool.
great post btw

I think he ran that look at Vegas last year. Not positive though.
I am a massive Reed fan mainly because of his yamaha days cos i am a big yamaha guy through World Superbikes so it was natural for me to support the yamaha man when i started watching sx/mx in 05/06, also cos he's an aussie battling the yanks i also approve of that. I used to hate suzuki's again from road racing but him riding one in 09 brought me round, loved that year for me that was the most entertaining dog fight for the sx title, he even made me like kawi's a bit last year but could always tell he wasn't on it.
I do think this year though has been his best, because in 09 i always knew no matter what that Bubba was always quicker and for reed to win he had to be 100% for 20 outta 20 laps, so it was always nerve racking watchin the races and hoping reedy could hold him off, stats show, reed had 3 wins, bubba had like 11-13 or something but it was still tight going into vegas. This year he has actually had the pace to go out front and win, or to catch up and pass etc the other big guns, I have never felt he has really been able to do that with JS/RC in past years since ive watched (i know in 03/04/05 he could take RC in SX) but this year was different, so I really hope he can continue that into 2012 and take that title, remember '04 then '08 so what about '12 people.......
I think the new GoPro HD2 has wireless streaming capabilities... maybe we will see some live cams for the 2012 season???
Even a prime RC would've had to settle for third that year, methinks

I actually think Reed was better in '09. Clearly he was more consistent, but I think he was faster, too. Yes, he got worked by Stewart, but that's because it was his best year, too. Look at it this way: in '09, if Bubba wasn't there, Reed would've won the first 14 races of the year. Cuh-razy.
That year he took (I think) five fastest laps from James, and something like half the average lap times. Did he even get any fastest laps this year?
