Who are you picking for the standout rookie of the year?

Marvin Musquin (I consider him a rookie in SX)
Justin Bogle
Kyle Peters
Justin Starling
Gavin Faith
Chris Plouffe
Michael Leib
Tyler Bereman
Austin Politelli

Anyone else got any rookies that are racing in 2012? I think Justin Starling and Gavin Faith will surprise a lot of people. I think Starling will be the standout rookie of 2012 in Supercross.

IMO I think Musquin and Bogle will be the front runners of the rookies (as long as everyone is counting Musquin as a rookie), I think Leib is going to surprise a lot of people though.

You thought Starling was going to kill it at L, and he didn't.. Are you his butt boy or something?

Any of those guys can stick it to Starling, easily.

I have to agree with this, it was just a free ride video, i'm not impressed.

Musquin and Bogle. And I don't consider Musquin a rookie.

Tyler Bereman. It won't be easy, but I like the kid. I just hope he stay's healthy and complete's the whole series.
Very cool family.

Yeah, I do in this regard.

Again, all of those guys can beat Starling handily, especially Musquin, Bogle, Peters, and Leib.

I think you could have gotten the message across without going all junior high on him.

Gavin Faith is Down Under racing the Aussie SX series at the moment and is looking good, he finished second for the night on saturday just gone. Has some great speed just needs to get rid of the small mistakes, but I guess better to get them out of the way in Aus before the AMA season starts, Ill definatily be watching his progress in the AMA from over in Aus when the season starts, think he will do well.

Polletti has been struggling, though the first two were in the dry the race on the weekend was a dry one and to be honest I cant remember seeing him much, Ill try to catch up with him at the final round for an interview and see how he feels his season is going.

Joe Savatgy would have been good to see in the AMA , or will be good to see in the AMA if he picks up a ride, He rode the first round of SX in the sloppy mud over here and looked really impressive, was the first rider to huck the tripple in the mud and the crowd certainly loved it. Unfortunatley he broke his arm just before the second round and has headed home back to the states, Im not sure if he is still in the Amatures in the in the USA or not but as soon as he goes pro he would be a rider the teams would be looking at IMO.

Though not a Rookie, Matt Moss will be back in the US next season on a 250F, hopefully he keeps his Australian form going and stays healthy when he gets over there. Also hoping JDR KTM let a few of their other Aussie riders loose for the first few rounds of the AMA series, Brenden Harrison who won over here on the weekend is in fine form and hopefully gets the chance to impress in some early rounds.

Musquin has the speed. If his starts are good, I don't worry about the outcome of the races but if he starts in the pack, he will learn a lot about how he needs to be more aggressiv which is his main fault to me...

Remember when you, DDavis, said that Bogle had a crappy style? Seems to be working out fairly well for him...

Im thinking that "other" Peters kid will do well. Wink (but im a little biased) Trying the 250 for the East Coast.
Just a note on Justin Starling...at Lorettas this past year he was out with fron runnerst but had bike problems in more than one moto. Dont count any of these kids out. Will be a great season!!

Everyone guesses how an amateur will do in the pro ranks based on how their outdoor speed is in 4 lap motos on shitty tracks. I'm excited to see how he does.
