I've been watching James since he was on 60s, like most people, and it seems in recent years he is just all over the place. I can't really blame him- since he's been on dirt bikes so long. He doesn't seem to take winning at SX so seriously as he once did. This is all from the sidelines, but I don't really care about NASCAR.
When they sign a big football player, do they say "Hey, he's also gonna be a baseball champ in a few years!"

Hey, Sherwood, I am not admitting a thing to you. The only thing I am admitting is that I don't spend a great deal of personal time around James Stewart.
Was it a coincidence that James' drama with his team, a reality TV show, getting in the national news for being arrested, racing trucks, racing cars...coincided with a fourth place year? You ever see Ricky Carmichael come up smiling with a fourth place year and start talking cars?
Maybe he will prove me wrong. I hope so because I am a James Stewart fan. It just really reminds me of the story of the tortoise and the hare. Guess who is the hare?

It's so funny seeing all these people trying to tell Jame's, how to live his life. Glad no one said shit for Chad Reed, being in Aus for a month or so not training just hanging out...Oh wait they both have titles and Millions of dollars to do whatever the heck they want, But don't worry though, most of guys get arm pump just starting your bike... good luck to James and glad he's having fun

I would call any of those guys Championship contenders. I wouldn't say Trey Canard is a 5th place guy cause he is not. Some people on here really have a warped way of thinking. Guy isn't protecting him he is calling it what it is. If you think James is a 4th place guy your on glue. That top 5 could be reverse order next year. This year its just the way the cookie crumbled.

As far as if he spending enough time getting ready, I wouldn't be concerned the top 5 will have more than enough time on their machines come A1. This sport is mental. You need to have fun doing it. Look at Deano for outdoors when he started having fun off the track. James will be the man to beat next year. I respect every guy out there. Its hard for me to pick a favorite.

Dream Traxx has been very busy building tracks down here, I don't think Jason has got to Stewarts or Villipoto's place's yet, but can't wait to see what he comes up with. Glad he didn't go to Australia this time he's been doing some awesome work around here!!

To me it looks like they're just trying to amp things up, getting more sponsors and fans, nascar is a big scene compared to MX. Maybe it's just to get some "eyes" on the mx side of things.. i dunno, i see no harm in it tough.

I don't know about you guys but why they hell wouldn't he want to drive/race late models when he can fit them in? I know I would...and if i had the finances I would go race late models anytime but that sport is just so dam expensive. I think late model racing would be about the most fun you could have...800hp in a dirt car that you have to slide to turn...it's the manly version of drifting.

I have to believe his desire to race cars after his mx career had alot to do in the negotiations of his contract with Gibbs. Even if Stewart struggles with cars for a few years like ricky has done, Stewart is still going to generate a ton of exposure for whichever Gibbs support team he is driving for.

Imagine how these drivers feel that have spent their entire life driving amateur stock cars, modifieds, late models, etc trying to get a shot at a NASCAR affiliated ride, only to have guys like carmichael, pastrana, and ricky have them handed rides because they have been succesfull in other motorsports without really proving they have talent to put a race car in the top 10.

I'm sure Gibbs forked out a ton of cash to sign Stewart for MX/SX, but do you guys think they spent less on his contract since they could also offer him support and place him in feeder programs to get a start towards NASCAR? Would Stewart say "hey i'll take $1 million less over the life of my contract if you guys let me race some cars and do some testing?"

x2. I bet there's alot of Pro series riders out there taking a couple weeks off for vacation and rest right now, maybe doing a little bit of testing or maybe doing a special race here and there. But stewart isn't fitting the "perfect model" right now and wow...

Everyone bitched because Stewart wouldn't pick a ride or a team. Now he's got a ride and people move on to the next subject to bitch about.

What most people don't realize is these guys training schedules leave alot of free time in the day. If the rider gets up at 6 or 7 am, hits the gym for an hour, goes to the track for 2 hours, goes home and does a 1 hour road bike ride, he's still got everything done before noon and has got in a hell of a good training session. So what's he going to do with the rest of the day? well he could sit on the couch and watch movies all day.....or wait....maybe go spin some laps in a late model for free? You decide...

Its way different. I dont care one bit about that shit talking little Godaddy tart, but she grew up behind a wheel and knows her stuff.
