Check out Coy talking with Dave Despain about James / JGR from last night on Wind Tunnel.

I love how pumped Despain gets about the outdoors and how much he hates SX only contracts. Cool

Thanks, Scottie. That was a cool segment, and as per usual, Dave got some good answers.

the amount of press JGR has received from this has made everyone else's moves irrelevant.

Anyone else catch when Coy refered to "outs" in Bubbas contract in year 2 and 3, he mentioned this when Dave pressed him about the Car side of the deal. I called it last week, after 2012 he'll be in a car full time.

I only watched it once, but I understood the "outs" to be regarding the outdoors portion of his contract and not supercross.

Pretty sure I read somewhere that Stewart has the option to ride outdoors but doesn't have to if he doesn't want to.

When JBone was on the Racer X podcast and DMXS he said that outdoors is optional in all 3 years

Never seen Wind Tunnel before. What great 'grown up' & straight questions. I'd love to see this kind of stuff on TV in the UK.

We need more interviews like that from the motocross exclusive industry. Great questions...I get the feeling Wind Tunnel isn't worried about getting blackballed by the motocross industry like so many of the "journalists" exclusive the motocross industry seem to be. Refreshing.

Well if James doesn't do the outdoors, it's all on him. No more blaming others!

Despain LOVVVVVES doing moto-related stuff. The industry as a whole doesn't feed him enough good material. Gibbs knows how to use the resource and Dave doesn't need a a whole lot of encouragement to make the case for a good moto story. Don't forget, these segments battle for airtime and on that show MX has to go straight up against F1, Indy, all 3 top levels of NASCAR, MotoGP, drag racing, big dirt-track events.........I think you get my drift.

Give them good stories and good interview subjects, and the Wind Tunnel team will make room for us. We have to take it to them, though. They don't go mining for it.

Dave Despain has always been a moto guy. That was a great interview, it's cool to see moto getting some of the spotlight.

If you haven't seen this classic Despain clip about hearing from everybody about selling out to Nascar......well here it is

Jim, did you catch any of his segments on WT when he was on his big 2-wheel ride up into Alaska? It was some pretty cool stuff and man that would be so awesome to do! I have seen quite a few dudes in chairs like me that are riding those 3 wheeled opposite trike bikes (2 wheels in the front, 1 in the back)

Sure would be a blast to get about 10 of your close bros and do a long cross country ride like that. Ya it might not be moto, but it would still be making killer memories with your friends that you would have with ya forever.

I have done tens of thousands of street miles.
Street scares the hell out of me these days!

Yep, those are the ones a lot of gimpers are cruising around on, have you ever rode one?

Growing up i was never allowed to touch a street bike, rode one 1 time when i was 15, a GPZ750, pinned that thing and when i got off it i was shaking like a whore in church! I think my parents were right.
