In racerhead Weege was saying that he heard Rockstar and Makita were out at Suzuki in 2012, does anyone know what team they could be going too, or does Makita leave the sport all together?

In the past we've sort of seen the two brands tied together. We'll have to see if that continues in 2012.

Yea I was wondering if they were trying to stick together, maybe both of them go to Reeds team? Or what about JGR since muscle milk left? Because redbull is going to be Stewarts personal sponsor and not jump on board with the team right? What if Rockstar got on board with JGR would Stew drop Red Bull? And does JGR have any sponsors that would conflict with Makita? Sorry just kind of throwing ideas out there.

No I know there's probably no chance of that happening but with muscle milk leaving JGR you have to think JGR wants another energy drink sponsor

The only good thing Makita has done is get some money into the sport.. As far as the tools they make they are so shitty.

Last I read ( on here ) was that the energy drinks didn't mind jumping on board with the same team as muscle milk. Reason being is , Muscle milk isn't an energy drink and doesn't conflict.

Either way.....as far as Rockstar goes.....i sure as hell hope they stay with our sport! Same goes for Monster and Redbull as well.......if we lose them , we are really going to be hurting.

Makita hands down has the best skil saw on the market. Been using them forever. Everything else I've tried is garbage for a full time framer.

Some of there older tools did suck but the new tools they have are by far the best out there. Way better battery than Makita and dewalt they are even worse then Makita. They have those new stupid tools called 20v max*** they are r eally just 18v just like every other tool. Milwaukee is really a 21v battery but they tuned it down.

I love my Ryobi cordless impact wrench with the lithium battery. Perfect pit gun for spinning lug nuts on and off

All my battery operated tools are Ryobi. Same battery for every tool. I love it.

Ryobi was the only smart company to make all the tools run all on 2 different batteries that's why they have sold so many tools and batteries.

Its not an older set, lithium 18v set, junk IMO compared to Makita.

Well everyone has there preference in what they use... Just stating that the red lithium battery Milwaukee came out with this year is the best made battery period. I used my Milwaukee head to head against my friend who had Makita and we drilled 10 holes with a 1/2 bit through too 2x4's on top of eachother and the Makita caught on fire after 7 holes.

We used brand new bits so they were sharp enough. Just saying Makita doesn't have anything in there battery that talks to the tools like Milwaukee does. It prevents the tool from catching fire and if the tools get to hot or anything the battery shuts off the tools.

A properly engineered tool will allow for a 100% duty cycle at normal loads like drilling a 1/2" hole, so it wouldn't need to talk to the battery

You are right and if they made a good tool that would stand up to every heavy duty job then they wouldnt have any issues, but they spend a lot more on marketing then they do producing the best products on the market. They charge you premium prices for tools that are almost all plastic.
