its too bad things turned out the way they did but he is a legend because of what he did

I wish he would of had ONE good year in the 450's... I know he led the daytona SX until reed chased him down

remember seeing him @ etown on his rmz450 when he was on bills team...he had that thing tapped all the time. its crazy to think that all the other guys were training and doing things right and he was fucking off and doing drugs..and winning! lol

before the vultures smell the blood in your post and attack, J-Law had a massive lead at Daytona and was chased down on the 18th lap by Reed. i was pulling for him to win and wish he would have. first EVER supercross on a 450 no less. same year he lit it up (no pun) at Washougal and ran with Reed and Grant the entire moto.

You got the Daytona part backwards. Lawrence was out front most of the race and Reed ran him down from a long way back for the win.

See, that's what's a bummer. If you've spent any time talking to Jason, you know that he's actually really smart.

People talking about him? That's not always the case.

How many millions would JLaw have made over the last three or four years had he gotten his head screwed on straight? Damn shame. He always seemed to have a pretty funny personality, courteous and receptive to the fans, could ride the wheels off a scooter but just always kept going off the deep end.

I didn't say he always did intelligent things. I said he was intelligent. Very intelligent.

Hey, Jay, in that other thread where I broke down the percentages of message board posters, which group do you see yourself in?

I'd say I was in the top 99% unless you want to compare me to some dipshit who went to jail and pissed away a gold mine smoking dope and biting his pals ear off.

in that case by your standards I'm not in that 99% I'm a 1% er

Yeah, the 99% vs. 1% argument is really popular at the moment.

Is that the race Jlaw cut the whole first corner cause there was a huge pile up and ended up way out front when he should have been DQ'd

I saw Jay this Sunday, he was hanging out at the last race of the season at E-town, and rode at the practice track. I was racing, but I heard he was flowing, fast as hell at the practice track. I miss him being out there representing NJ all day.

Unfortunately, a sport like ours is filled with "what could have been's"...

What if JMB didn't have a melt down at High Point?

What if Travis didn't have the freestyle bug?

What if Hepler didn't bang his head so much?

And so on, and so on...

There is a long list of riders who were on the cusp of greatness, but for whatever reason, it either eluded them or slipped out of their grasp. I'm just happy for the moments that they gave us.

I'm with ya....

....gotta wonder about people who insult the riders for being troubled at times.

I mean really?

He "only" won one SX Lites title for satellite team.

There are some team managers in this sport without even a race win.

Many of us could write a list of riders that might not have given it their hardest at the top level. Probably more reasons for that than we will ever know. Most of us are probably envious because we didn't have the talent to get to the top level or the chance. I'm probably in the first group.

It's good to see that JL seems to have stayed out of trouble since his last deal.
