Right now James needs to prove something. He hasn't races in months and in a sport where the sponsors are looking for the next big thing, he needs to be somewhere on a bike. I think racing is exactly what James needs to do. He needs to prove he's still got it. Can't think of a better way to impress potential sponsors than to go out and beat Ryan for a million bucks. Gawd knows he's had enough time to prepare.
If James wanted to race he would race. Alessi is racing and he just came off of riding outdoors. He is working on getting his program up and running. James? Well he is busy sending out tweets about his two bike choices..
I guess he had time to find a bike... Since js7 was one of the first to be on the confirmed list rider from mec...
If he wanted to race so bad he should have choose suzuki ...
Anyway that ll end up like Pourcel $$$ over good bike, and i hope he ll struggle next year if he choose yamy

Before people start bashing and saying JS7 should do this and should have done that, they might want to actually learn how the industry works, how contracts work, and the relivence of what happens when you do not obide by said contract.
And wishing somone to struggle next year just shows the maturity level of you stayh4ppy! Love it when people wish bad shit on people they have never even met and do not really know. Sheer idiocy!!
Unlike everyone else who were thinking ahead, James seems to have waited till October one to actually start talking to sponsors.

How the industry works? Just how does it work? I mean Dungey signed pretty quickly. Alessi seems to have things rolling.. Pretty sure there are conversations throughout the year about what are the options when their contract is up at one place. Your saying James waited till October first to start contract talks knowing he wasn't going back to L&M?

It doesn't matter what James is like as person. Some people are never going to meet him, hang out with him, or get to know him. So all they can judge him from are his actions. His actions seem to rub people the wrong way. That's just the way it works when your a high profile anything in this country.
And there is a huge difference in what it takes for Mike Alessi to sign a contract vs. what JS7 has to do. That's like comparing Chad Reed and Tommy Hahn. Different caliber of riders.
Dungey probably knew where he was going as soon as Roger left Suzuki.
Talks are one thing, but I would never commit to a team until I could actually ride their bike without taking a chance on losing a great deal of money by breaking a contract. So I am sure James WAS doing some talking, but like a smart racer, decided to wait until he could test some bikes out before making an educated decision. This is a much smarter move than just taking the first deal to come down the pike JUST so he can race the MEC and appease everyone.
Not to mention, even if he KNEW he was probably going to go to JGR, there is the whole JS7 is a Red Bull athlete and JGR is backed by Muscle Milk. Those kinds of issues do not get settled in a weeks time.
Sinking in yet?
Only the truth hurt anyway, i was an huge Cp377 fan, but im smart enought to understand how bad was his decision this year...
As i can see you cant, im guessing you have a thousand picture of him in your bed room...
Anyways mibi he ll find a contract to ride offroad truck....
Cause I read about it on Vital. Wasn't a big seceret that James wasn't going to be with L&M after the season was over.

Really? A huge difference? Right now both Ryans have both James and Mike covered.

You really think riders don't try bikes out while still under contract? Wake up. Its not about racing the MEC. Right now James is two weeks behind testing for Anaheim one. Both Ryans have been at the sx tracks daily. James is busy playing twitter games? s?

Pretty sure if the general population of Vital knew Muscle Milk wasn't coming back to JGR, James knew, so try again...
Red Bull is bouncing rom NASCAR as a team sponsor and maybe looking at a smaller sponsor option for 2012. What better fit is to have Red Bull sponor James at JGR and be a secondary sponsor for JGR NASCAR? It sets up perfectly..
Whatever dude! The problem is that you THINK you have all the answers and know everything. I am from the group of people that actually KNOW I don't know anything and do not judge what a racer is or isn't doing. It's HIS career and he is going to do whats best for him, not you.
Just throwing something together is not a good career move. I am sure JGR would LOVE JS7 to race the MEC of that is really where he is going, but again, none of us know. All we have is guessing and speculation. Making statements and judging someone off of guessing and specualtion really shows exactly how smart you are NOT.
Certified SCUBA instructor? Not quite.
Weren't you a pro mx rider? Oh yeah, another lie that was exposed on this forum - so you just changed your user name.
And you have the nerve to flame others and say THEY aren't smart?
There comes time when the bs'ing has to stop. James has had too many tweets about what he is doing for the "fans." He said he would be racing some outdoors, you know for the fans. He didn't race one. He said he was in for the MEC, then backed out. Last year he said he would race some outdoors, he did, then found out he wasn't in consideration for the MXdN and quit again. The dude needs to freakin' get a contract and be a racer! Quit playing twitter games, quit stringing the fans along. Just shut up and race.
I don't think I have all the answers, I just call it like I see it. I am a huge James fan, but that doesn't mean I'm going to sit around and make excuses for him like some.
James is a racer, time to to just shut the hell up and RACE!
One last thing, it's quite obvious James has no cluse what's best for him. Can anyone honestly say hanging out with Sorby is a good career move for James?

GuyB, do you think it would help the quality on here if you had to pay to be a member? Even $5 a year would help raise the level of the posts I bet.
I remember saying what up to one of my favorite musicians at his concert a couple years ago when he was outside smoking, and complimenting him on a song he made. Dude didn't even looked at me and walked by and was kind of just like " Meh, thanks". I remember being like wtf dude you suck, but the more I thought about it the more I got that dude was trying to stay focused on what he came to do and probably didn't have time to talk to some "Phony fan" that doesn't appriciate his work as soon as he looses popularity. I personally salute James for sticking to his guns and doing what he wants to do.
Some of you people would probably get mad if bubba was to get hurt it seems like. Probably be like " O man he got hurt, WTF who am I gonna watch at the races now."
