The RC double at High Point. Maybe one of the craziest jump I have ever seen anyone do on a MX track. When I first saw RC launch off this tunnel jump I could not believe it. This was never meant to be a jump as I have seen hundreds of riders hop off of it over the last 30 years. That is until the Angry Elf decided to turn this into a double. The is basically no run at this thing and is it a BIG blind turning jump. JUst pin it and let her rip. To tho day I have only seen a handful of guys even attempt the jump. RC was one bad dude.

I was so bummed on RC when he went to Honda. I felt he had turned his back on a sponsor who had stood behind him since he wagon 60's and had went for the money. In hindsight I am sure there was more to it but in 2002 I was no longer and RC fan. It was not til he went to the underdog Suzuki team that he won me back. The Honda years are the dark years for me.

He also didn't go "just for the money", he made it very clear that Kawasaki didn't even give him an offer for 2002 and Kawasaki admitted it.

I was writing my comments based on the way I felt in 2002 when he made the switch. I know now there was a lot more to it. I was just trying to offer my perspective at the time of the move in my comments.

Awesome photo show. The GOAT will always be the GOAT!.

He had to win, every race. He HAD to win. I have never seen anyone with that kind of will to win, ...not the most natural talent in the world but the work ethic and the sheer determination, should give us all hope to succeed in whatever field we are competing
in.

Dungey is smooth and disciplined,...Villopoto is a hard ass fighter, Chad Reed is gritty as hell, JS7 is a mad competitor with talent to match,. but nobody, but nobody had the complete package like RC4, or ever will. Period.

Matt Wozney had a video of a B class rider on a cr250 two stroke hitting that jump.
