Its just something I did for fun, don't take it so seriously. What I love is when I say good things about American riders everyone is sweet, but if I mention the GP guys are maybe as good or better, wow, what an idiot I am.

I have dealt with this for years. I rememeber 10 years ago mentioning that Langston and Reed would both be winners in America, and I was an idiot back then too. You guys break me up. I am sitting in my chair and just LOL!!
That's because it would have been impossible for you to write a 450 list "for fun" or otherwise without Villopoto and Dungey at the very top of the list.

You are nothing more than a GP-biased euro asshat.

Earlier in another thread we were discussing about just how much Kenny improved last year in SX from A1 to the Vegas final, and that was with juggling his GP schedule, i can only imagine what we will see in '12 when it is his main focus....and to go one step further, imagine where Kenny will be when he hits his prime? which is still a good 5 years away.
Go dig out the old threads where us "Euro's" first started touting Roczen as being the next big talent and read the reactions... Smile

Waste of time
IN QUALIFYING!
in moto 1 ken roczens fastest lap was 1.4 seconds faster than baggets, and he lapped him.
in moto 2 ken roczens fastest lap was 3 seconds faster than baggets, and he lapped him.

Last year in colorado, ken raced on an unfamiliar track (which had been used for an ama national) and was lapping 2-3 seconds a lap faster than wilson and canard (who had already raced there that year)
this year he was miles infront of everyone else in mx2 in both races- and beat most of the 450 guys in the process (including passing dungey, who was riding a 450!)
(he's been by far the best 250f rider at the des nations for the last 2 years)

he also won the world championship this year, a main event at an ama supercross on a 250f, and qualified for a 450 class main event on a 350.

It would be hard to argue against ken being the top mx2 rider in the world at the moment!

Bagget is a phenomenal rider and put in some astonishing rides last season, he looked fantastic on the Saturday in France but when it came to the main races on the Sunday he had a terrible day. This was mainly due to riding an unfamiliar track in tricky conditions... but to be regarded as as one of the very best in the world you have to prove you can master all conditions.

On an wide open, loamy AMA track Baggett is capable of beating anyone on his day.
Apparently he is capable of beating Ken Roczen in Europe on a track he has never ridden before as well, qualifying or no qualifying.

I don't necessarily agree with his list, Barcia and Tomac should certainly replace Anstie and Tonus for a start. I would argue Roczen deserves his place at the top but personally I feel the next 5-6 riders are all interchangeable.

If they ever decide to combine the an AMA national with an FIM World Championship race, wether it be here in the US or Europe (or Brazil, which would be neutral territory) , the truth will come out. No one would be able to argue about matchups then. Till then, we will continue to throw rocks at each other.

I agree Geoff he just might be, and for me Roczen and Herlings are the best riders in the world in 2011 in MX2 no dice. IF they all raced the World Champoinship ( the only fair way to decide, and how I base a list like this) I can't see any of the US based guys beating them. It would be a toss up between Wilson and Searle for third, and I would probably give Dean the edge based on his title. But Tommy was flying at the end of the year too.

There were only three US riders in the top five of their own championship anyway, and none in top five of the GPs, so no surprise not many US guys make it in the list. I don't think that list is too far off, if all those guys raced the World championship. Would maybe have Tonus in eighth though and Tomac instead of Anstie... apart from that it is pretty accurate....taking into consideration Marvin was injured and not quite at the level he was in 2010. Really bar the top two the rest are pretty inter changable.

All those guys are phenomenl riders and half of them race AMA so I don't think it is bias. Why if non-americans don't put US riders ahead of the GP riders are they somehow bias and wrong?! but it is not bias for an American to constantly claim their riders and series are better.... hilarious! lol

Europe is not a country. the US is so it is not a correct arguement.

They all need to race the world championship so no rider has constant home country advantage.. that is the only way.

Read the post my original point was I didn't think Roczen and Herlings were on another level than Bagget, Wilson etc

After qualifying on Saturday and his US results, I think it's disrespectful to say those guys are on another level.

of course not, you are a fool too... I've been reading you two since you found your way to MotoDrive/Vital and not much has changed... I still think you are looking through rose colored glasses... I still think you are idiots, to see it as you do... YES KROC is fast and he might become the fastest in the world... But, he isn't right now... no way, no how... However, say what you want, on here... I know you fools will, and, I WILL ridicule your appearant, euro biased, idiocy...

Starts mean everything at this years MXoN and guess what, nearly everyone who got a holeshot won the moto. All in all we are all lucky that we have so many good riders on both sides of the pond.

MXr, I think both series are pretty similar speed wise, we are all lucky to have that. Euro's rule and so do the AMA regulars.

MXdN Lites vs MX is not an accurate judging point. Too many variables not to mention everyone aiming for any US rider.

At MXdN US races not to lose, while your riders having NOTHING to lose BIG difference Asshat!

You want a fair comparison Lites vs Lites. Like Saturday in qualifying, which all riders take seriously. Roczen got beat. Clearly not on another level.

You say it's just qualifying, I say bullshit everyrider that could've won was going for the win. Hence Roczen on the ground.

You're dillusional views comical.

Enjoy reporting your second rate series while you're best riders come across the pond for a chance to race the best.
10/8/2011 11:31am
mxgeoff " wrote but with Musquin (who actually beat Roczen last year)" ......what does that have to do with a "current" list as u wrote? Musquin's performance against a rookie last year has nothing to do with a current list. I think his best finish was a 3rd here.....Bogle did that good.....where's he at? If I'm not mistaken shouldn't your current list be based on this year, not last?? All fun though....Turbo
