A step up at Suzuki is a step out, they like to flounder around and then fire people making them look like the problem.

Remember when he rode for Chesterfield Suzuki back with Van Den Berk in the mid / late '80's ?

Those white & black bikes were sweet.

Couldn't agree more Bob, living legend!! Julio or Roadside are two of his better nicknames.

He raced for Mike Webb; so, the lineage is still in-place...well...at Yoshimura.

I was at a Norcal hare scramble back when he rode for their off road team. Standing in the fricken forest waiting for the leaders to come round the first lap and guess who's out front.. BRAAAAAP! Focking amazing how fast him and Hatch could negotiate those trees!

They can put whoever they want in charge, isn't going to change the economics of the company.

I looked up the riders on the team and they still have Dungey listed. I reloaded to original site to make sure I was not looking at an old page and sure enough, there Dungey is. How can such a large corporation as Suzuki, fail to remove/update this info? It is insight to a corporation struggling?

Our company still does work for Suzuki and Yoshimura. Blame Questus for their web site.

Come on RD was #1, they are going to use their investment as long as they can, they paid for those pics of him with why not use them ! Don't see the big deal really.

Yeah, it always happens, I think CBS should still be using Charlie Sheen in their ads for Two and Half Men. If your contact is over its time to move on.

Did anyone read DeCoster's story about Suzuki a while back?

They did stuff like letting MC go, and then trying to throw a million dollars at him when it was too late, and having to hide the team racing rigs in the desert when the Japanese executives came to Brea, stuff like that.

Seems as if that place is run kind of half- ass to me.

Yo, Bob!! Those we the good old days and txs for the compliment, Julio would run circles around Webb running the team but thats just IMO!! I did deal with both of them and Rodney was an absolute pleasure to work with. His brother in law Hatch (aka the Monger) was and still is a great friend and won the national enduro championshiip going away that year. Randy, Steve, Julio, Kevin Hines, Dave Bertram all were lots of fun to work with and really made my job easy as the results piled on after every weekend. As far as beating me in your 1st pro race, you'd been sandbaggin' the amateur ranks long enough, lol!! all the best. -chas

Maybe it had to do with Suzuki of Japan being very "Tight" or conservative and not wanting to spend money if they didn't have to.
