To all the little people out there,
Given that we're in the Jewish High Holidays (the New Year and the day of Atonement) and all, I've been reflecting on my actions over the last year of 5772. You see, in Judaism, in the ten days between the New Year (which was two Wednesdays ago) and the Day of Atonement (which starts tomorrow), one is supposed to relentlessly examine one's choices over the past year and determine where you made or missed the mark.
For every missed mark, as they call it, you must ask for forgiveness to those you wronged (assuming you didn't kill them), kinda like the 8th Step in AA. Hopefully that forgiveness is granted on the first request, but, if the person doesn't grant you forgiveness, you must ask them two more times during the 10-day holiday period and pray for a better result. If the person you f-ed over is a real prick and still won't forgive you after three requests, then God grants you forgiveness on the tenth day anyways.
So, after stating on the record that I hit the mark 99% of the time. I do think I was a little rough on Christophe Poucel on this message board so I ask CP, "S'il vous plaît pardonnez-moi d'agir comme un cochon sauvage!!"
Plus I ran across this cool pic a few hours ago and said to myself, "Self, CP377 can't be all that bad given he donated a jersey to Wonder Warthog Racing once or twice upon a time":

And to you GuyB and OCScottie, I ask for your forgiveness for stirring the shitpot a time or two on VitalMX over the last year. You know what they say about stirring the shitpot, don'tcha?? The only thing that is certain when you stir the shitpot is that it will stink like shit and no one will want to be around you.
BTW -- I am not Jewish but I do celebrate all the major holidays for most religions (although, since I've never looked much into Islam, I don't know anything about it other than Muhammad was a child molester and some of them are crazy, violent fucks).

My belief system goes something like this:
- To live by the key messages of Christ - Love without Limits, Forgiveness Without Hesitation, and the Knowledge that We Can All Be Redeemed
- But I baseline myself with Buddha’s basic teaching - That We Need to be OK with NOT having ALL, SOME, or even ONE of Our Wants and Desires Fulfilled
- Failing the above, I fall back to my favorite part of the Old Testament, with my twist on it, of course – Ten Eyes for an Eye, and a Set of Dentures for a Tooth
However, I reserve the right to change my belief system should any potential improvements cross my mind . . .
And Scott, so far I agree with half of your subject line. The other half? I'll reserve judgement on that.
