I am going to be rebuilding my RMZ 450 here soon. I am curious what pistons people have used and what kind of luck they have had with them. As of right now I am leaning towards OEM but not sure. I have heard good things about the CP pistons, and bad things about the Wiseco. So if you guys could shed some light it would be much appreciated.

I have used all of the large companies pistons and have good results. I have no bad experiences with Wiseco and no failed engines due to a piston failure pre-maturely. CP pistons are nice and i have been using them alot in my mod engines. you can't ever go wrong with OEM.

JE pistons are extremely nice and probably my preference. They also supply the pistons for Pro Circuit and Moose Racing. If you order a higer compression Moose Racing piston, it will have JE badging on it but should be cheaper than a pro circuit or JE because Moose doesn't have inflated costs from marketing.

I ran a JE with 13.5:1 compression ratio in my 07 RMZ 450. It ran well and I had no problems.

I always had good luck with Vertex pistons, they also come in A,B,C sizing. with B&C being ever so slightly larger than A and C a little bigger yet, so can get your piston to cylinder clearance as close as possible to optimum.
